Room not clean never was cleaned during our stay no hot water pool dirty food terrible the Italian restaurant was great staff not ready for the amount of people in the hotel neither the buffet station or whersw you get the drinks only very cheap liquor

I read a lot of bad reviews about this place. I decided to come with an open mind and heart. Check in was chaotic, i think they should hv someone in charge in the office at all times. My first room was a swim up in building 5. The fan didn’t work. I was told I was going to hv a bottle of champagne for my birthday. Nothing was in my room. An hour later while I was inside they decorated it was awkward. Kinda defeats the purpose to bring after I was in. Then I went to get some food. I thought the buffet was ok. There were a few flies I thought they could try to put fly fans up. Again something proper management could fix. It’s like this resort could be so much better with the right management. When I got back the promised bottle of EXPIRED champagne was in my room. I just laughed bc I was happy to be on vacation and I appreciated the effort. The guys selling the time shares were annoying. Maybe make a wrist band for people who are not interested so they know not to approach kind of like an do not disturb wrist band. Every turn someone yelling at me when I just want to enjoy really sucks. Also management should tell these men to leave single women alone. I can’t count how many times I was asked if I was married and for my number I just wanted to relax not be hounded. I want you to also know if ur a single woman coming u may be offered services u don’t want and didn’t ask for so be careful! Have security keep away beach vendors. Every 5 min someone ask u to buy stuff!!

No hit water, air was in and out, bathroom was dirty, food was horrible. Stayed here twice. Was hoping the first time was just a mishap, but second time around was no different.

The front desk customer service was not very good, but a manager helped to turn the experience around. We had some issues (door lock problem, non-working remote, and foliage in the swim up pool); they addressed most things quickly. The specialty restaurants were nice, and the nightly shows were entertaining. The buffet on the weekends was a mad house. I’m not sure that I will return.

It is not good for children. There are not good attractions for little children. But the hotel is good for adults. And the personal or workers are excellents.

Fue nuestra primera visita a Juan Dolio, y basado en nuestras experiencias en otras partes del país, entendemos que este hotel no está a la altura de lo que ofrece la República Dominicana por el precio pagado. El hotel tiene mucho que mejorar en infraestructura y en la calidad de los alimentos que ofrece. Las habitaciones tenían goteras. Pedimos traslado y la nueva tenía incluso más, en el área del baño. Algunas piscinas tenían el agua un poco turbia. En cuanto a la comida, daba la impresión de que se volvía a reponer, especialmente las ensaladas. Incluso el servicio, si se compara con Puerto Plata o Bávaro, tiene muchas oportunidades de mejora.

We have been here before and can see how the property has declined. Rooms are old and in need of repairs. The main attraction used to be the restaurant by the beach which is now closed down. There’s a lot of people trying to sell you RCI. One good thing is the service at the buffet, Eddie was great and so was Wendy. The service at the coffee shop was superior! But we will not return.

I love the beach so beautifully the property is well taken care of but I was surprised that some of the staff didn’t care to greet you that was a first in the Dominican Republic room service was horrible I called for towels, and they never came not even to clean the room the entertainment was on point they were A
