Bathroom design was poor with no place to set things down. Otherwise, the room was comfortable. There is no front desk and no restaurants nearby that were open for breakfast.
An interesting experience. This is a hotel that has no staff physically there most of the time. Check-in was easy though with a code provided. The room was in very good condition, although could have used some more cutlery, bowels, and plates as there is no breakfast at the hotel.
We did have issues with the door requiring your full body weight to lock, which wasn't obvious, and so we believed it was faulty initially as it wasn't locking. Customer services on the phone were very helpful and we resolved the issue. There was however another issue with the door not recognising our pin and locking for a period of time. Again Customer services were very helpful and we got in, but the door itself did cause us problems.
Property looked new and great but several things were broken / in disrepair. Sink faucet functioned but was very loose. Door wouldn’t close unless full body weight pressed against it. Outlets next to bed didn’t work.
Our check-in experience was terrible because when we arrived at the hotel around midnight after touring Reykjavik, we found out there was a blackout. The blackout cut power to the front door, leaving us stranded without any way to get in or ask for assistance. We stood there confused for 20 minutes on how to open the door until another man staying at the hotel manually opened the doors. In complete darkness and with no working elevator, my family and I had to carry our two large luggage (over 20kg each) along with our backpacks (4 around 10kg each) to the second floor. Luckily, our room's door was operational and we were able to enter the room. However, no electricity worked in the room; there were no lights and no way to plug our chargers. We needed to provide lighting with our devices. We deserve to be compensated for this terrible experience, please refund one night stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
The hotel has no electricity when we arrived at night and no backup power at the hotel. Had to use stairs to go to room on 3rd Fl with our big luggages. Not emergency light as well in the room. Contacted the customer service via text message but no answer
