Total privacy and relaxation in a secluded 3 bed/ 2 bath house on 5 acres.

The house offers total privacy and relaxation on 5 private acres. Behind the property there are additional 300 acres of woods suitable for walking, hiking and even dirt bike riding.
Access to the house is via 1200 feet long private driveway which takes you to the top of the mountain and the middle of the forest. The closest house is only visible in the winter and is 350 yards away. This is a perfect place to escape the civilization.
The town of Hackettstown offers surprisingly variety of restaurants: Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese and an award winning "James on Main" restaurant opened by a famous San Francisco chef who grew up locally and decided to return to his roots.
There are also 3 local breweries in town, right on Main street.
The house is located and hour from Manhattan, 30 minutes from the Delaware Water Gap (think kayaking and hiking) and 45 minutes from the ski and water park areas in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

Wonderfully secluded
Stayed at this house for three nights with two friends (all three of us in our 40s) and had an excellent time. Everything is as described, very clean and easy to access. Marc was very communicative and a wonderful host. Also very close to the city, but felt like we were hundreds of miles away. Recommended in all aspects!

Private weekend retreat
My old roommates and I always have a yearly retreat to get away from work and family and this place was more than perfect. If u want to get away in a beautiful and private home. This is the place. The house is beautiful and immaculately kept. If ur looking to get away from the noise and husle and bustle of everyday life this place will do it. The house was larger than expected and extremely comfortable. I will recommend this place to all my family and friends. The nature and seclusion is priceless. I would definitely book this rental again.

I was very happy with the property. The house was exceptionally clean and the grounds were nice. There were little touches like coffee, tea, etc. The check in was exceptionally easy. I would recommend this property and would stay here again.

Great home for our family! Host Marc is wonderful!
Our family needed a place to stay short term as our daughter, son-in-law and 2 granddaughters move to New Jersey and waiting to move into a new home, which fell through on our 2nd day here. This home was a perfect respite for us during this challenging time. There were tons of toys age appropriate for our 4 yo and 6 yo grand-daughters, there was plenty of space for the kid's dog to roam around and the whole house was a perfect fit for us! We asked to stay longer due to the situation but unfortunately it was already booked. Marc was an amazing host, even calling his neighbors and folks he knew to see if any of them had availability to rent to our kids for the next month as they search for a house. He went above and beyond what I would expect from any host. Marc is a great person and great communicator. Anytime I had a question I would text him and he would respond immediately. We found a 2nd home to move to move to and Marc accommodated us with a little later check out time. We were very comfortable there and would highly recommend it.

Perfect fit
We are a group of friends that train dogs and compete together. We where I’m town for a National competition. Marc’s House was in the perfect location, it was so nice to be able to let our dogs stretch out. We only cooked one meal there but the kitchen was adequately outfitted. The beds are very comfortable, as well as the rest of the house.

Well cared for.
We enjoyed staying at this property. It was quiet, very private, very clean and well stocked with necessary items. The driveway is quite steep, but that is just the way it is in this location. The owner was very kind and extremely helpful. I would recommend this one to friends.

This property is a quiet oasis in the woods but close to all amenities and easy to get to. The driveway is steep but there is good parking at the top. The yard is well kept and beautifully landscaped. The large ranch is comfortable and has an wonderful kitchen for cooking and socializing. Large entertainment center and well equipt personal gym in the mostly finished basement. This animal friendly is a gem. Marc is a responsive and helpful host. We loved our stay.

Beautiful home away from home
The house and property was very beautiful. The rooms are very open, spacious and cozy. We tried to be very prepared and ended up overpacking. There were a few surprises when we arrived which made it an even better experience. The house had an impressive entertainment system complete with movies and books. The kitchen was nicely stocked with coffee and other necessary items. Meal delivery was great. Overall our stay was great. Our host Marc was very kind and welcoming. He always made himself available and we felt very safe. We will definitely return soon. We had a wonderful time!!!

Lovely mountain getaway
Would return! Arrival begins with an exciting drive up a steep driveway to a secluded retreat. We enjoyed the open kitchen, new appliances, the big table for family meals, happy flowers, and a beautiful deck with festive lights. Easy check in process. Great nap spot in the basement.

We wanted a place to hang out with family we hadn't seen for over a year. It was a great spot for enjoying nature (great bird watching from the porch!) We were close to stores and outdoor activities when we wanted to get out. Marc was a great host!

Perfect getaway home
We LOVED our stay at this absolutely amazing, spacious and beautiful home. I cannot explain how much fun my kids had playing in the front yard with the snow and with the toys in the homes playroom. Total Peace and Quiet - A Perfect Getaway
The house was warm and inviting. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We were 'snowed-in' for the most part, but that was kind of the point on Valentine's Day Weekend. From the moment we arrived we just stopped and listened, and the silence was deafening. Over 5 days we heard exactly one plane overhead and one train whistle. Not another sound. The house is well furnished with everything we needed. We did venture into town a couple of times and would love to do so again in warmer weather. Would happily stay again.

Great remote getaway
This wonderful getaway home was exactly what we needed. As a family with an infant and dogs, this property was great because it was private set amongst woods with hiking trails, 5 minutes from a few parks with hiking, trout fishing, and playgrounds, but also very close to town with grocery and restaurants. Home was lovely, clean, and well kept. Great workout area in the basement was a bonus. Would love to come back!
