First night in Iceland
This was a very nice hotel for our first night in Iceland. It’s not far from KEF Airport, and was a good place 30-minutes away from the Blue Lagoon. The connected restaurant was excellent for our dinner after our soak in the Blue Lagoon.

They have plans to expand and for good reason! They were immensely popular, even on the off season. I hope the new expansion includes a better hot tub situation but other than that, it was a great place to stay.

The hotel was in a great location, but it was the worst breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. The same thing was served every day and it was not edible. Our key card did not work every single evening when we returned to the hotel and had to get it reprogrammed. No towels upon our arrival. The Hotel staff were very nice and accommodating, however.

Next to a busy road and our room was next to the road. Staff gave us tips we felt safe and one of the few places that offered a free breakfast. Learned more about Iceland, rich get richer and poor get poorer.

Staff at reception desk were not very friendly or helpful. There was construction right behind our room that was never mentioned. We were also given the room right above the hot tub, so its very loud until 10pm when the tub closes for the night. The breakfast was 5/5, great options, and tasty food, and staff were super friendly and helpful.

The hotel is quaint and the decor is great. Construction next door made parking only available a distance away and lots of noise during the day. The staff were friendly and , I would have given 5 stars except for the construction/ parking issue.

This Viking-themed hotel was charming. Our room was airy and bright with many windows. It had a balcony over the hot tub area and view. We enjoyed the hot tub and ability to walk a few steps to their larger restaurant. The food was ideal and our waitress very attentive to our needs. It make for pleasant meals at the end of long sightseeing days. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was tasty. I liked the variety of toppings for my oatmeal and especially Orange Juice and coffee. Koi fish grace the entrance as you are transported to a world of Vikings. This airport is between the airport and Reykjavík and provides a good base camp for day trips. Bonus: free parking. Come visit this hotel and charming town when you visit Iceland. And Yes, we plan on coming back!

We stayed in one of the Viking cottages for families and it was great. We all got comfortably and had a relaxing evening. The breakfast that is included was a wonderful way to start the day and the hotel itself is decorated really cool. My kids loved it.

The Viking theme seemed a little silly when reading about this hotel. However, it was pretty well executed in the actual spaces. There were lots of relics and interesting things on display throughout the property and the building construction was quite fascinating. The restaurant for dinner was a lot of fun and we enjoyed a good meal. The hot tub and sauna were nice added touches. If staying in the area again, I'd not hesitate to stay here again.

A unique stay. It was fine for a night but the rooms were tiny with no place to put luggage. Good for a night but any longer we would have felt the lack of space. Tiny shower…not ideal for tall people. Decent breakfast included.

Amazing staff, incl those working restaurant next door. (Food fantastic as well) great bfast buffet at hotel. Only complaint was overhead light in room could not find switch or not one, we didnt ask too tired lol!
