Luxurious home in gated community
The home is simply exquisite, and we enjoyed the convenience of being next to the golf course, the towns, and all the seaside scenery. The home was spotless, well decorated, and the backyard was truly a respite within a respite. Communication between the homeowner and us was excellent, as well. After each day of exploring the local towns, we always felt safe & welcome here at this home, as well as when we arrived at the of this community. To note, on our first arrival, the attendant at the gate was expecting us, and each of them were very friendly. We felt grateful to have found this home. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful stay in HMB. Loved the house and the spacious back patio. Easy walking distance to beach. Went into town and experienced goat yoga. Would definitely come back.

Such a lovely, quiet, and peaceful stay. The home is large and clean, with everything that is needed. We had a wonderful family vacation.


ACTIVITIES (on-site or near by): This coastal house is in the gated community of Ocean Colony, and is a five-minute walk to the Ritz Carlton, beach and walking trails. Near by beaches include Montara, Moss Beach, Half Moon Bay, San Gregorio, and Pescadero.

Enjoy Golf, Biking, Fishing, Shopping, Swimming, Live Music at Ritz, Horseback Riding, Diving, Surfing, Sailing, Walking, Dining at Half Moon Bay or other ocean view restaurants. This is the perfect location to access many California attractions, San Francisco 25 miles, short drives - Santa Cruz, Napa Valley, Great America, Six Flags Marine World, Monterey, Muir Woods, Stinson Beach and Stanford. San Francisco Airport (SFO) is about 25 minute drive.

Nearby (two miles), Princeton Harbor is a working harbor where you can buy your fish fresh or smoked. The protected beaches within the harbor are great for children, and the bluff walks above provide views of the world-famous Mavericks surfing area. A flat paved 14-mile long bicycle trail runs from the Harbor along the beaches past Half Moon Bay and other trails.

The seaside town of Half Moon Bay with its galleries and restaurants are a short five minute drive. Enjoy restaurants, like the Navio at the Ritz-Carlton, or the award-winning Pasta Moon, or Zagat-rated Cafe Gibraltar, or watch the sunset from the Moss Beach Distillery or go to La Costanera, the best Peruvian food outside of Peru!

The entire house is beautiful and well furnished... and very clean. Since this was a family Thanksgiving trip, we did a lot of cooking. The kitchen was very well equipped and the central island made it possible for several people to be working at the same time.

Gorgeous property
The property is overall gorgeous in a great location. My group absolutely enjoyed the property everyone commented how comfortable they were with the excellent mattresses in the bedrooms. The only concerns were, The BBQ and outdoor heaters could use a little TLC, the electric igniters didn’t work probably from the salt air. Lastly the downstairs room shows as having a queen bed however, it’s actually a queen rollout. But overall we were extremely happy with the location.

AMAZING HMB House
We were looking for a easy, relaxing and easy getaway from the busy city life for Memorial Day. This house made our weekend extra special. Neighborhood - incredibly safe with guards out in the front entrance. Beautifully landscape golf course and 5 minute walk to the beach, connected to the Ritz Carlton. Bedroom - spacious bedroom, the master bedroom is bigger than an entire apartment and extremely well equipped. Bed were comfortable and bathroom were all remodeled. Kitchen - biggest highlight of the entire house. The kitchen was a large size and it was beyond well equipped ..., tons of plates and utensils for large parties, large platter, baking sheets. We all hung out in this space and really enjoyed what the kitchen has to offer. Backyard - well kept, had a very nice grill and 3 gazebo to sit outside. It was a little cold when we were there but as the weather got nicer, we were able to go outside and enjoy a nice meal in the backyard. In summary, I highly recommend this house for large parties. Checking in and checking out was a breeze and Anna was wonderful to work with.

Birthday Party Girls Stay
8 of us came from around the country to celebrate a big birthday and it was fantastic! Everyone who walked into the house oohed and aahed. The furnishings and art work set an upbeat tone for a wonderful 2 days. The location is fabulous--just a few blocks from the ocean. The house had great seating areas and all the kitchen amenities that anyone would want. It was very easy to communicate with Anna and she was very nice to us. I highly recommend this home for a group get-away.

Great birthday trip
We had four couples total come and stay at this beautiful home for my birthday. It's newly remodeled kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful . We love the flow of the house and the backyard was very nice for lounging . The only negative thing was one of the rooms has a pull out sofa bed and bbq needed cleaning and propane. We ended up cooking inside . The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and dishes and nice glasses. It's location is wonderful and we walked to the ritz twice! The dining room is huge and perfect for group dinners and playing games. Everyone had a great time.

We used this house while having a family function at the Ritz. The house was great with a fantastic setup in the backyard. Less then a 10 minute walk to the Ritz. Great communication from the owner as well. Would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for good space to stay in HMB.

Amazing property, overall very good communication.
This was my first VRBO rental, and due to that there was some issues using the platform in general. However that is about the platform in general not this property. That being said I still feel like there was a couple of mistakes on the listing. There was not hot tub access when I visited, but that may be temporary while the owner fixes it. The property has an excellent number of sleeping a accomodations and that was very important to me since we mostly used the property for sleeping in-between wedding festivities. It was also located very close to our wedding venue at the Half Moon Bay Golf links which made the booking a no brainer for me and my wedding party. Would recommend for anyone spending time in half moon bay.
