Delta Hotels Marriott in Dartmouth was a great place to stop over on our road trip around NS. It's outside of downtown Halifax but less expensive and easier to park at. Getting into and out of downtown was no problem. The lobby, restaurant w/ Starbucks, and room were all very modern and new. The beds, furniture, and bathroom were also very modern and tasteful. Everything was super clean. There was lots of space for everything and lots of outlets for electronics. The breakfast buffet was great with very nice servers. There was no bacon or sausage, but they had smoked salmon along with some deli meats. The only real issues were that the wireless was a little temperamental and that the walls/floors seemed a little thin. It was also a little annoying that the room came with only one (caffeinated) coffee pod. Overall a great stay.

My only complaint about this hotel is the frosted glass bathroom door in the room. The light shines out in if someone has to use the bathroom in the night and it’s limited privacy because although it’s frosted you can still see through a bit. Restaurant staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful as well as all other staff we interacted with. The selection on the buffet was a nice change and included options like smoked salmon and capers with bagels and cream cheese, fresh fruit cups, smoothies, baked goods and much more. The coffee was a really good as well. The kids enjoyed the pool and water slide and there is an indoor splash pad area for smaller kids. While the business park the hotel is located in isn’t exactly picturesque, the location is very conveniently close to all the shops in Dartmouth Crossing and the area is quiet.

We stayed at this Delta a number of times and it is a lovely propert. First and foremost the staff are incredible at this hotel. So friendly and helpful. The pool and splash pad is also great, especially when you have young children like we do. The one negative thing I will say is the 4th floor smelled terrible. They had a number of dehumidifiers in the hallway which leads me to believe there was possibly a flood and the lingering damp smell is trying to be cleaned up with those dehumidifiers however the smell in the hallways is gross. The second negative is the noise from the elevator and the dehumidifiers from our room was quite noisy which led to not much sleep for my kids and myself. My hope is our next stay will be like the others where it isn’t damp smelling and less noise to enjoy our sleep in their comfy beds.
