We really enjoyed our stay here. It was beautiful and clean. The staff were very kind and helpful. It was great to have the restaurant on the lower level which had great food. It is right in downtown Halifax and had lots of great areas to walk around and explore.

The hotel is convenient walking distance to the waterfront and dining. The only blemish really is that since the hotel is older, there was some minor repairs required. There was a light bulb burnt out in our hanging light fixture, a hole the size of a half dollar in the ceiling where there was a leak previously. It is was not conveyed that the complimentary water and coffee/tea in the room was only for the first day and not replenished daily.

Front desk was not pleasant at all during check-in…..border line rude. Door to the room (912) sticks, so you have to lean into it to open it, and slam it so it will close. I actually apologized to a staff member who watched me close the door loudly, and she just simply said “yah it has been like that for awhile”.
