Location not near the action—too corporate. No phone in room (guess I’m old-fashioned. Unable to control the room temp. Get over yourself: no shower door was a nuisance. TV was another nuisance: fiddling for a long time to get limited channels.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Lots of good food close by with late night options, and easy to get to the train station. Fantastic staff and good breakfast. Lovely dining area. Room was stylish, modern, elegant, and rather large. I enjoyed.

Not what I had expected
The morning after my first night, there was no hot water to shower. I called the reception (with my cell phone as there are no phones in the rooms) and flag the issue. “Yes, I know about this issue and I cannot do anything about it” was the answer. Not a single apology from the staff nor any compensation.

First, great friendly staff. The location itself is fine, it is near a supermarket for snacks. Unfortunately the city has a major homeless problem, and by the looks of things the city appears not to care about helping these humans.... The area between the hotel and Hauptbahnhof, in particular August-Bebel-Park and the bus station, is where the city seems to corral and ignore their citizens who are most in need of help. There is a lot of drug use and polite people asking for change, but there were plenty of police so it was safe. The hotel room was big, with two singles pushed together as a double. The bed was hard but ok, unfortunately the pillows were flat, even folded and stacked my neck hurt each morning. The TV was good with the ability to cast, no lag from streaming. The shower was strong, but with one side open it resulted in the bathroom turning into a paddle pool, the water didn't drain quickly enough. No mini fridge or tea / coffee in the room. Small safe in the room. Two free small bottles of water on first night. Their website mentions a gym which doesn't exist and restaurant which only does breakfast and lunch. I really wanted to like this place but the pillows annoyed me the most.

仕事で2泊しました。 中央駅から徒歩10分くらいと駅近で、また近くにスーパーもありました。加えて、新しいホテルらしく、非常に清潔で快適でした。 シャワーは温度・湯量とも十分でしたが、取り付け口の正面に扉がなくガラ空きのため、水漏れしないよう注意が必要です。先人のコメントがあったため被害には至りませんでした。 朝食も味・品数共に素晴らしく、おススメできるホテルです。

I was bitten by something that left my shoulder itching and spots of blood on the bed sheets. Tell tale sign of bedbugs! The manager was dismissive and even suggested that I was lying! I have pictures of my arm and the blood stained bedsheets. Manager did nothing!

The hotel was absolutely great and we loved staying there! The area was with very poor people who were all at their worst! It was a bit hard to be in that area.

Meine Erfahrungen von den 7 Nächten im SCOTTY: Das Hotel ist gut erreichbar und in der Nähe vom Hauptbahnhof und von dem Berliner Tor (U-Bahn). Die Zimmer waren sauber und modern, jedoch meinem Geschmack nach ein wenig zu minimalistisch (keinen geschlossenen Kleiderschrank und keinen Nachtisch mit Schublade). Das Bad ist ebenfalls modern, jedoch gibt es eine offene Dusche und das Wasser spritzt bis vor die Tür. Der Service war in Ordnung, die MA am Empfang waren stets freundlich und haben geholfen, wenn man Fragen hatte. Die Häufigkeit der Reinigung kann beim Check-In festgelegt werden. Man erhält je einen Getränke Chip, wenn man die Reinigung nicht in Anspruch nimmt. Diese wurde am vereinbarten Tag jedoch leider nicht durchgeführt. Haben wir bei der Abreise auch weitergegeben. Wir haben vor der Anreise nachgefragt, ob wir ein ruhiges Zimmer haben könnten und haben auch ein Zimmer in Richtung vom Hinterhof erhalten. Ein Fitnesszimmer war leider nicht verfügbar und befindet sich derzeit angeblich im Umbau. Als Alternative kann man in dem McFit (ca. 100 Meter) trainieren und die Rechnung für das Tagesticket weitergeben. Das habe ich jedoch nicht ausprobiert und ich fand es schade, dass sowas nicht online angegeben war. Das Frühstück haben wir nicht gebucht, da der Preis für uns zu hoch war.
