A new chain hotel in a rather run down area Hotel was great we ate at a little Thai Pad thay Nice and the pub just down on the left also ok

The worst experience ever in my life the shower was terrible like a trickle they said they sent maintenance, it still wasn’t fixed. The way I was treated was absolutely ridiculous and the customer and communication was the worst experience ever in my life. There was a massive chill exchange staying at the hotel running up and down corridors at the late end early hours of the evening. Followed to my car by a member of staff and had to put a serious complaint in The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in in my life

The staff and hotel were excellent only let down by the rubbish that was strewn outside around the building and in the car park. Wouldn't say that was the hotels issue though.

Not for me, practically on a roundabout
The hotel is right next to a very busy roundabout and through road. Road does quieten down at night but not fully unfortunately, so not ideal when you are looking for a good night’s sleep. I asked for a quiet room upon checking in, specifically no where near the roundabout, but alas, that’s where I was put. Back down to reception to change that, got another room, only a few doors down on the same side, so it didn’t really make a difference. Appreciate the change of room but disappointing not to be put at the other side of the hotel.

Holiday Inn Hamilton
Very tidy and modern room, everything you need in it for a base for work except plugs. Why is it modern hotels have very few plugs? As it was needed for medical equipment i rang reception and was advised to move the bed to suite myself. Didn't mind that but when i moved it the legs fell off as it was obviously already broken a propped up.

Ideal for me .Nice large ,clean and comfortable room ,clean shower room . Great breakfast .Friendly and helpful staff .Excellent location ,less than a ten minute walk from the train and bus station and only five from the town centre

The hotel itself was very nice and clean with helpful staff. The town itself wasn’t very clean. There was nearby public transportation (10 minute walk) which was helpful.

The breakfast area didn’t seem to flow well. Eg the milk was a distance away from where you made your tea. The juice was poor, it was like coloured water. The bacon was delicious and the eggs were good. I didn’t try the sausages. The toast seemed to toast on one side only and I had to “guess” what way to put it back in to toast the other side. Wouldn’t put us off coming again, just an observation.
