Room was really small for $130 a night. The door had to be slammed shut to lock it. The curtains were paper thin and see through and the curtain rod was barely hanging on. The toilet clogged and instead of someone coming to check it out, they gave me a plunger in a trash bag that was left outside the lobby door for the entire place to use. The TV only had 1 channel available. They didn’t come to clean the room and had to track down the guy in the lobby for more toilet paper and clean towels. To say the least I will not be coming back here. The best thing about it was that it was close to the beach.

I have to assume this place is really different during the on-season based on other positive reviews, but our experience in the fall was not good. The host was very friendly and communicated helpfully with us about checking in later, but when we arrived, music was blaring at full volume out front and there was a group of tipsy men smoking and catcalling on the balcony in front of our room (which did not have curtains that closed all the way and did not have a deadbolt on the door). Loud, bright, and felt very unsafe. We left right away.

Vintage 1960s updated motel. Great location next to the state park. You can see the sand dunes from the parking lot, a 2 minute walk to the beach and no street to cross. My room had been updated with new floors, bed and bathroom. Check in with Gary was fast and efficient. We were able to check in at 1:00 and were able to park at the site several hours earlier than that to enjoy more beach time. There’s a Chinese restaurant, Brew House and Farm to Table restaurant that you can see from the Mari-Anne and are at most a 1/10 of a mile away. We stayed on a Saturday night and it was quiet all night. If you’re looking for a clean affordable place, that’s close to the beach and only five minute walk from all the action at the main beach then this is the place for you

THIS PLACE WAS UNCOMFORTABLY MISERABLE. CEILING TILES WERE STAINED AND FALLING DOWN. WE HAD REGISTERED FOR AN ECONOMY DOUBLE, (SEE THEIR WEBSITE), BUT WERE PUT IN A BELOW GROUND LEVEL 2 BEDROOM EFFICIENCY THAT WAS A WRECK. NO CURTAINS ON WINDOWS, TILE CEILING PANELS THAT ARE WATER STAINED AND UNEVEN, MISSING COVER ON ELECTRIC DUPLEX OUTLET AND ON ELECTRIC BASEBOARD HEATER. DENTED REFRIGERATOR, AND STAINS ON THE OUTER EDGE OF THE BOXSPRING.THE SHOWER LEAKED ONTO THE UNLEVEL FLOOR AND COLLECTED IN THE CORNER OF THE BATHROOM NEXT TO THE TOILET. GOOD THING THEY HAD PLENTY OF TOWELS TO SOP THE MESS UP. EXPEDIA SHOULD BAN THIS PLACE FROM BEING ON THEIR WEBSIT. I FEEL I GOT A "BAIT AND SWITCH" FROM THE MOTEL! I HAD BOUGHT AN ECONOMY DOUBLE IF WE WERE NOT PRESSED FOR TIME AND A PLACE TO STAY; WE WOULD HAVE, (AND SHOULD HAVE) DEMANDED OUR MONEY BACK AND MOVED ON. I HAVE TRIED TO PUT JPEG PHOTOS IN THIS REVIEW, BUT COULD NOT. EXPEDIA I CAN PROVIDE THEM IF YOU CONTACT ME.

Super cute motel! Super clean too! Gary was a phenomenal host! The only suggestion that I have is for them to hang blackout curtains or add room darkening blinds to the rooms. Very bright in the mornings and the sheers didn’t provide any privacy to change your clothing comfortably in the rooms.

Definitely enjoyed the room, shower was a bit small, felt cramped. I'm 5'7 220lbs, and I definitely would've loved it more, if there weren't very loud, obnoxious neighbors blaring music and yelling and screaming until 1:15am

I appreciated being able to bring our pup. It's right near the quiet end of the beach so if you want to stay further from the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk, it's a great option.
