The room was clean and nice. The TV didn’t work, but when I called and asked about this, they sent a technician out. He wasn’t able to fix it, but he did try. The staff who checked me in wasn’t very professional or friendly. The walls were thin, and when people came in to the room next to ours, they were loud and upset about something. There weren’t any amenities (pool, breakfast, etc) and the price was very high. The motel is in a very small town, as well, so there are limited resources.

Hanksville Utah.
I liked the Whispering sands. Great hikes close by and the hotel was quiet and nurturing for a great few days in Utah's beautiful country.

Gem of a Hotel!
This is a gem of a hotel!! It was one of the nicests ones we stayed at during our 8 day trip to utah. Renovated and clean. Loved the soaking tub after a lot of hiking. Id stay here again!

It seemed like it had recent upgrades - vinyl flooring and newer bath. Clean (what they can keep clean with the sand blowing in) and comfortable.

Greta place for the night. Was a bit noisy with other guests hanging around outside but the heating unit drowned them out. Easy check in/out. Good restaurant recommended by front desk staff (Duke's). We couldn't get the TV to work and the office was closed by the time we realized.

We stayed here after visiting Capitol Reef National Park, and before heading to Moab to visit Canyonland and Arches. The town and motel were very convenient for this one night stayover. It's about a 40 minute drive out of Capitol Reef, in the direction of Moab. The room was newly renovated, so everything was new. The town is small with nothing around it. It has everything you would need for a short stay: a few restaurants to choose from, a gas station and convenient store. The staff was very friendly. For this type of stay, I would recommend this hotel.
