The property was absolutely delightful. Fantastic room with separate sitting area and hot tub. The staff were all keen to help and very attentive, and we really loved their interactions with us. They could not have been more willing to provide a great sevice. However staff did not seem to have been trained to a standard warranting a 5 star rating and there appeared to be no hospitality-experienced managerial staff to direct / oversee. As a result, service was slow, multiple people tried to take orders at breakfast, orders were wrong and this reduced our satisfaction with the property. There was a beautiful store in the hotel, but on at least two occasions during our stay a group of people were using it exclusively to play cards and were smoking there. This is totally unacceptable as the products / shop smelled of smoke afterwards (and I'm a smoker ... and it annoyed me). I would recommend the hotel employs some senior staff with a proven track record of working in 5 star hotels to up its game a lot.

Great new hotel on quiet neighborhood from lake. Great service. Food good but this is not 5 star dining. Rooms are gray Bathroom is great. Not sure why t You would pay more to stay in noisy old qtr with small room. Beautiful property. Lots of green.

The staff were simply the best. So friendly and accommodating. Upgraded my room at check in and allowed a late departure due to my flight being delayed at no charge. They were helpful in so many ways. The rooms are spacious and updated with great technology. Love this place!!!

What an amazing hotel! Part of me doesn’t want to shout too loud, but actually as they limited number of rooms I am sure it will always be the amazing, tranquil oasis that I had the pleasure of staying at here in Hanoi. I travel the globe, I’ve stayed in all the big hotels raving about service, and generally they are run down with too many guests spoiling my peace and quiet! Stay at elegant mansion 88 and have the 5 star luxury - elevated with 5 star personal service. This is an amazing place and I wish them well.

We changed to this hotel after being in the Old quarter which was just too busy. This hotel is on the lake and in a peaceful setting, not too far from shops if you need to go to them. The hotel is gorgeous, very stylish and very clean. We were upgraded to a suite by Dat who gave great customer service, he went above and beyond, like turning up at our door without request to take our bags at 530 am for our early departure. If you are looking for somewhere out of the craziness and a luxury stay then stay here. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Wonderful first trip to Hanoi.
Fantastic stay in Hanoi. Location suited us perfectly, quieter West Lake after the hustle and bustle of Old Quarter. A new hotel, wonderful in all aspects. Good food, great room, with an upgrade. Lovely surprise birthday treat in the room: balloons, flowers and cake - much appreciated! Last but not least, shout out to the friendly staff. In-particular the two chaps who manned the front desk. Great recommendations from Dat as well for places to eat and things to do. Highly recommended.

Situated in the prime location of West Lake, Elegant Mansion88 boasts a stunning setting that resembles a private villa, offering a luxurious and intimate ambiance. The hotel features brand-new, luxurious facilities scheduled to open at the end of 2023. My room is spacious and elegantly designed in the Indochina style, equipped with state-of-the-art amenities that evoke the feeling of residing in a traditional Vietnamese house, but with a modern touch in 2024. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay. I was particularly impressed by the delicious Vietnamese Pho served, prepared in true Hanoi style. Only 10 minutes away from the bustling Old Quarter, Elegant Mansion88 provides a completely different experience of Hanoi, with its serene surroundings and tranquil atmosphere. Without a doubt, I will choose Elegant Mansion88 for my future visits, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic experience of Hanoi's architecture, cuisine, and sophistication.

We highly enjoyed our stay. We wanted to stay somewhere off the beaten path, less touristy area and this hotel’s location was perfect. It overlooks a grand West Lake so the vibe was a good mix of serenity and the city’s hustle and bustle. There are plenty of nice cafes and restaurants to explore around, but it was also fairly easy to go to the Old Quarter or other attractions. Sunsets are beautiful. Amenities were new and the service was friendly and wonderful. I especially loved the infinity pool that seemed to merge with the lake. We felt very relaxed after our stay and would love to come back again!

Wir haben insgesamt 6 Nächte in diesem luxuriös ausgestatteten und einfach wunderschönen Hotel verbracht. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und modern ausgestattet. Das Personal ist außerordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Auch bei der Buchung von Freizeitaktivitäten war uns das Hotelpersonal jederzeit behilflich. Das hoteleigene Restaurant und der Garten sind aufgrund der gehobenen Ausstattung allerdings auch bei ortsansässigen Influencern und YouTubern sehr beliebt. Man muss damit rechnen, dass den ganzen Tag über verhältnismäßig viele Menschen mit Kameras um einen rum sind und dabei keinerlei Rücksicht auf die Hotelgäste nehmen. Wir haben das als störend empfunden und dies dem Personal auch gesagt. Man hat uns dann immer etwas abseits einen Tisch zur Verfügung gestellt. Das Essen des Restaurants ist von hoher Qualität und hat uns sehr gut schmeckt. Aufgrund der Herzlichkeit und Freundlichkeit des Personals ist es uns nicht schwer gefallen über kleinere organisatorische Schwierigkeiten hinwegzusehen. Das Hotel ist etwas außerhalb der Innenstadt direkt am See und deshalb auch ruhiger gelegen. Man kann die Stadt und die Sehenswürdigkeiten aber schnell und kostengünstig mit dem Taxi erreichen. Insgesamt können wir dieses Hotel wärmstens empfehlen.
