The staff have been exceptional. Kylie assisted us with our tours and transport. Susan assisted us with a medical issue and not only took us to the Pharmacy but also helped with the translation. All the staff have been great from the door to the roof top bar. Breakfast was included and was not only a lovely dining environment but also had a great view. The rooms were lovely and well appointed. The entire hotel was very comfortable and pleasant. Great location and great value.

Nice hotel with a cute restaurant and rooftop bar (Marvel comic book theme). The staff was great and service was wonderful. Only issue was the bathroom…terrible shower. The shower in the terrace suite room was designed so poorly. Not only does the water go everywhere, it’s a huge hazard getting in and out of it. I had no issues, but would not recommend to people over 55 or people with mobility issues. Further, no one thought to build a wall attachment for the shower attachment or small shelf for body wash or shampoo…so you’re bending over constantly. I liked the hotel but likely won’t stay again due to the shower.

We absolutely loved our stay at San Grand Hotel for many reasons: great hospitality, location, and quality room. Of these three reasons, the great customer service must be mentioned. Notably, Lily, from the rooftop breakfast bar, was extremely delightful to interact with. She was kind and patient with taking our breakfast orders, but most importantly she went out of her way to recommend restaurants for lunch/dinner and offered suggestions on where to buy specialty products (e.g., Vietnamese coffee). She even taught my wife how to make egg coffee, and offered us egg and coconut coffee during our stay. Lily made an effort to make our time in Hanoi seamless and smooth and we were honestly so grateful. She definitely made the stay more memorable. We were interested in purchasing a few items in Hanoi (suitcases, souvenirs, etc.) but were very hesitant given the fear of being upcharged and getting the "tourist" price. Lily made sure we were not scammed and even went above and beyond to order things online to the San Grand and then to our subsequent hotel in Hoi An to ensure we were not overpaying. She was excellent! We will certainly return when we're back in Hanoi!

The San Grand Hotel exceeded our expectations. We had 3 nights in Hanoi before flying back home. I’d give the staff more stars if I could. We especially had a wonderful experience with the dining manager, Lily. She was nice enough to share some history about the area and recommend some really wonderful restaurants. We had an early checkout and Lily prepared “to go” breakfast packages for us too. Since we left the area on a weeknight evening the street was closed to cars. The bellman walked us to the meeting point with the driver to the airport. Our spa service was wonderful as well. Highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back when we are lucky enough to return to Hanoi for a visit!

The hotel is very nice and perfectly located in the old quarter. The room in the top floor was exceptional. A bit noisy till 22:00 maybe. I will definitively return there during my next trip.

We had a very comfortable stay, the bed is super comfy. Staff were very welcoming and detailed in their explanation to us. The location of the hotel is great as it is very near tourist attractions with eateries and shops nearby. Look forward to staying again.

Although it was just a one-night layover before we headed home..our family stay was very comfortable. Ruby at front desk provided my family and I with a nice size family suite for our stay. The hotel is also located in a prime location so getting last min shopping and finding a restaurant was no problem at all. Thank you so much San Grand for making our last night stay in Vietnam memorable!!

Great hotel in an excellent location. Very close to the old quarter of Hanoi. The staff at the hotel are helpful, friendly and very courteous. The breakfasts are outstanding. Special thanks to Ms Susan in the restaurant for all her attention.
