"In an age of "Live Laugh Love" vacation rentals -- every property a generic flip, done up in neutral tones and mass-manufactured message art -- it was so refreshing to enter the Cabin Skowhegan, where everything seemed like a real live person had put it there. The photos of local sites, sometimes captioned. The worn-in but sturdy and inviting furniture, arranged for comfort. The quirky mug collection, clearly someone's pride and joy, hanging around the dining area. Supplies and provisions exactly where you need them. This cabin is no frills but so lovingly appointed. I would definitely come back."

"The property was clean, very lovely and had beautiful views. The property was right on the lake and I can only imagine how beautiful it is in summer. We went for a white Christmas and the owner was nice enough to put up a tree and decorations! We had a wonderful 2 weeks with a very white Christmas! Thank you so much for everything!"
