Disappointing and poor condition.
Room was dirty, chairs where covered in make up, the shower was blocked, we booked the superior king double room, should have had two king beds only had one and a small double. The food was cold or raw. Poor service overall very disappointed for a double tree.

We stayed here for my partners birthday. It’s a beautiful hotel with great breakfast and spa. Our bath was indented with a hole and we had to clean the plug as it spat dirt when we ran the bath. My partner accidentally left his birthday card from his parents overseas. When I called to ask for it to be posted to us, not only did it cost £15 but the card had been taken out its sealed envelope and whatever else was gifted. We were given the excuse this was to check if anything was inside despite it being a sealed envelope and easy to tell if it contains something without opening. Please be weary of housekeeping. We later found out the card originally had cash in but this was not found later.

Brilliant short break ar the historic but amazing Majestic Hotel in Harrogate Staff all very friendly and helpful, special thank-you to rhe really nice welcome from male receptionist, who also upgraded our room....Wow!! We have been staying at the majestic for 25 yrs now and this dtay was not the best - first we were only allowed an hour in the spa which is not normally the case ,then at our half board evening meal one of the chefs had to leave which I appreciate can happen and is out of the hotels hands ,but we had an hour and a half wait between starter and mains during this period a lot of people just got up and left there meals. Again in the morning there was a 20 min queue for breakfast and when we finally sat down there was not much left on the hot plate or the fruit areas and all in all made for a disappointing stay - however what I would say is we have stayed many times in the past and it has been really good .
