"Amazing art deco building which looks to have been recently renovated we were fortunate to be in a room located in the original building thats was clean comfortable and great facilties, staff were all very pleasant and accommodating good location for a short trip into St Albans if i had to find a fault it would only have been the location of the staff room next to our room which had the door banging continuously in the early hours, but its an old building so perhaps sound proofing not great in the 20's so didn't mention this at the time of the stay"

"We had a good stay at this property for the Christmas holiday. Easy check in, with free parking. Communication with the host was good, was able to accommodate our extra needs. We had some difficulty unlocking the bedroom door after locking ourselves in. Had some difficulty with the cooker and oven but communication with the host had everything resolved and got our Christmas dinner cooking perfectly. Property could’ve been a bit cleaner in areas but overall a good stay and everyone enjoyed this space"

"My Room, was clean comfortable and welcoming. Had a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed. Food in the bar (Indian) was among the best I've had, service quick and friendly. A good stay. Just as a note the rooms are up steep stairs at the back of the pub which wouldn't be suitable for anyone with a mobility issue"
