We are upcountry, so the climate is delightful. There is so much privacy that it feels like you are on thousands of acres.
Executive Suite for the price of a studio. Enjoy the spirit of Aloha in this private setting with a fruit orchard and gorgeous ornamental and edible gardens accompanied by a magnificent view of the ocean and the nearby Island of Maui.
The property is located eight minutes from Hawi Town, a quaint artist village offering many Eco-activities, great hiking, restaurants, and live entertainment. We are close to excellent snorkeling, swimming, and the best beaches and hiking.
There are only two units on the property. Therefore, you have privacy and quiet. The Zen Pond adds a centerpiece to the diverse landscape. Enjoy a majestic view from your bedroom, lush gardens, and rolling hills down to the sea. At night, enjoy the heavenly skies.
Accommodations include an oversized bedroom, a king bed, and a lovely private bathroom. We converted our double garage into a spacious, equipped kitchenette and living and dining area. Here you will find a library of various books and games. The spacious, 500 sq feet furnished area offers a beautiful garden view when the doors are open. The laundry room for the property is in this area. There is also a delightful courtyard and BBQ area where you can dine outside.
During your stay, you are also invited to harvest whatever you can eat from our orchards and gardens.
We live on the property, but you will have complete privacy and access to us if you need anything. We have one rule at Always In Season; if you need anything, just ask.
At Always in Season, our home is powered by the sun. Forest, pastures, and ranch land surround us, with a few other county homes in sight. We compost, recycle and are avid gardeners.
We are your hosts, Donna and Kevin, and we have years of experience on the Island. We enjoy sharing the special places we have discovered here and assisting you in any way we can to help you have a memorable vacation on the magnificent Big Island. Kevin and I have been professional chefs and bakers since 1982. We know how to prepare delightful meals to your specifications and love to teach others what we have learned. We also offer Culinary Classes with a Farm-to-Table Meal and Culinary Healing Arts Retreats. Here are the options we can provide during your stay.

Are there bugs?
This is Hawaii, and there are friendly geckos but few insects and no noisy coqui frogs.
How close to the beaches, swimming, and snorkeling?
We are just 15 minutes from Mahukona Beach Park, offering fantastic snorkeling and swimming, but no sand. Sandy beaches are just 30 minutes away.
What is the climate like?
We are upcountry, so the climate is delightful and cooler than the hot coast.
Do we need to rent a car?
Yes. We can offer suggestions on car rental options.
Best place to buy groceries?
Takata Grocery and Kohala Grown in Hawi town offer some good food options. If you stay awhile, it is recommended to stop at Costo, Island Natural Foods, or other large grocery stores in Kona before you head to rural Hawi.
What about Farmer's Markets?
There is a Saturday Farmers Market in Hawi and two other great farmers' markets in Waimea. There is also a Wednesday Farmers Market in Waimea.

Are there good restaurants nearby?
There are several good restaurants in Hawi and many more choices just 30 minutes away in Waimea.
