We arrived late at night from Sydney on our way to Adelaide. I've stayed here many times years ago with a young family and was glad we could stay again.
The property is on the main highway, so easy to find, but set back enough that it's quiet.
Our car was covered in grasshoppers, moths and bugs from the Hay plains, and I made good use of the car-wash bucket and squeegee outside our room to clean the windscreen and lights. A great, thoughtful innovation.
We did have minor incursions by bugs (not mozzies) when the door was open, but they caused no trouble and we were able to keep them out.
One thing not rated in these reviews are the beds - a key feature for distance travelers. The lodge had great beds that were very comfortable. The microwave, fridge and tea facilities were much appreciated after a long drive.
The room was large and the staff helpful. Looking forward to our next visit.
