Our family, parents (40s-50s), kiddos (11, 11, 13, and 14), Grandparents, (70s and 80s) had a great time here.
Parents and kids alternated days playing. At home in the water, on the little private beach, on the water trampoline (thanks Colleen for that surprise addition!), from the dock, and on paddle boards. Everything (but swimsuits) we could want to play with was there for us to use. (Note: if you do bring any watercraft in from out of state don't forget to get your permit at an inspection station when you cross the boarder... to minimize the spread of invasive aquatic species, for example the quagga and zebra mussels.) And at Silverwood/Boulder Beach and some at Triple Play too, which is about 10 minutes away.
Grandparents had fun enjoying the property and going for hikes at a park around the lake.
Our week the weather was very hot. There are shaded places to relax outside that were comfortable regardless and the living spaces were cool and comfortable as well.
Groceries, coffee, liquor are all within a 10 or so drive.
If you like the water, and just hanging out, there is so much to do at The Red Barn and if there is anything else you want to do, most likely it's only a short drive away.
Last. Colleen was very responsive to any questions and requests which made the logistical aspects of our stay effortless. :) Thanks Colleen
I would definitely book again if I can. My guess is that this vacation rental will become booked early as word spreads.
