About this property

The Bunkhouse – A Unique Stay in Historic Hebron, Nebraska

The Bunkhouse – A Unique Stay in Historic Hebron, Nebraska

Welcome to The Bunkhouse, an extraordinary VRBO experience in the heart of downtown Hebron, Nebraska! This spacious and charmingly converted commercial building offers a one-of-a-kind retreat steeped in history and perfect for group gatherings.

Sleeping up to 16 guests, The Bunkhouse features two full bathrooms with showers, ensuring comfort and convenience for all. The space is thoughtfully designed with relaxation and entertainment in mind. Guests can enjoy cable TV, ping pong, darts, and a variety of other games, making it an ideal spot for family reunions, group getaways, or special celebrations.
But what truly sets The Bunkhouse apart is its location in a town brimming with history. Hebron lies near the path of the historic Oregon Trail, a critical route for pioneers venturing westward in the 19th century. Nearby, remnants of the Pony Express evoke the daring spirit of early mail carriers who braved the untamed frontier to deliver letters and news. Staying here offers a unique opportunity to connect with the rich heritage of the area while enjoying all the modern comforts of home.

The building itself is a nod to Hebron’s vibrant history, transformed from a downtown commercial space into a rustic yet modern retreat. The décor echoes the spirit of the pioneers, blending rugged charm with contemporary amenities. Whether you’re lounging in the spacious living area or gathering around the game tables, you’ll find The Bunkhouse to be a perfect blend of past and present. One of the more salient features is the beautiful park with youth equipment just outside the back door. The park is a great release for young energy away from their electronics! Also, the park is home to the “world’s largest” covered porch swing.

Conveniently located near local shops and dining, The Bunkhouse is your gateway to exploring Hebron’s hidden gems while stepping back in time to experience the legacy of the Great Plains. Book your stay today and create memories in a setting that celebrates history, hospitality, and fun!

Funeral Gathering
Our family gathered for a funeral at the Bunkhouse. The bedrooms offered each of our children’s families their own private space as well as a large gathering area for cards, ping pong, gaming and conversations. We were less than two blocks from two places to eat and enjoy refreshments. This was our third stay at the Bunkhouse! Love it!
