Oh boy. Not sure where to start here - this "hotel" bills itself as a boutique hotel but in reality its a collection of old dated rooms in the most undesirable location in town, with no front desk, no attendant, no bellman, no reception, no security, and the kind of place that will email you *the day of* check in to tell you good luck checking in thru a lock-box on your own, there will be no one at the property to check you in or help you. There is also no parking, and the area is not only extremely dirty and grungy but borderline unsafe and dangerous. What's worse, the hotel then argued that this is satisfactory service or an acceptable way to casually treat clients! The property itself is adequate - small empty courtyard. No attendant, no guests. It felt like we were breaking into our room. The room was very, very dated. We stayed in a superior double and they very cleverly photographed the room with a stair case implying multiple levels and a lofty size... no, it's a stair case you can access but with a locked door to no where. At no point in the reservation did it say that this was 1/2 of a conjoined room. Why is there a staircase taking up half of the living room space to an area that is blocked off? Your guess is as good as mine.
At the end of the day, we stayed at a 5 star hotel for exactly the same price as this terrible, ugly, unsafe room. I cannot tell you louder to run away from this area. We thought we were literally going to be robbed here.
