The shower head needed to be replaced, it just dripped terrible. The room was so small it was difficult to find room to put anything. Our room was across the hall from the ice machine and made noise all night.

The staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and didn’t have any usual hotel/motel odors. The AC worked. The only negative remark is on the repair work that had been done on the shower was not very appealing.

In fairness our stay occurred right after Hurricane Helene ravaged western North Carolina so things were not normal. My mom's house was without power for 2 weeks and this was the first hotel we stayed at. The internet was down, for which I don't hold them accountable. The thing that I got upset about was the check-in process. Their computers weren't working- which I also don't hold against them- and the clerk was checking people in using the phone. Initially he rejected my attempt to check in saying I needed to use the same credit card I booked with, which I was. I had to pull up my booking on the phone to prove it. Then, when he was checking me in with someone over the phone, he was shouting out my credit card number in the lobby where there were other patrons standing around. This made me really uncomfortable and I will most likely will have to have the card replaced. The check-in process took about a half hour. That said, the hotel was clean, the room was comfortable. It's right next door to a Waffle House and a Hooters and another hotel. It's easy to get to and has plenty of parking. It was relatively quiet.

Not bad if you are a roach.
This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel and believe me they charge as if it were, but…The stairs to the second floor were filthy with food spills and trash. My room was old with a few poorly constructed updates that allowed dirt to fill the crevices. The floors in the bathroom were sticky. The bed was somewhat comfortable but the pillows smelled of dirt and sweat. I tried to pull up the bottom sheet to check for bedbugs, but the mattress cover shredded as I lifted it. I wanted to have ice for my water, but the ice machine was filthy as well. I took a picture of the ice shoot to see if it was clean, but no, it was thick with black mold. And to top it off, I woke up to a large water bug crawling toward me on the floor. If I hadn’t just driven for 12 hours and exhausted, I absolutely would’ve gone somewhere else. It’s a shame that they take advantage of weary travelers that way. I told the front desk and didn’t even get an apology.
