The experience was bad from the start. We booked a family suite and when we xhecked in, we were told they dont have family suites but could give us 2 full bed for the same price. Ok, we had been driving all daybsobwe went with it. The clerk was not pleasant at all, the hotel smelled and the bathroom was dirty with mold on the walls.

Stains on carpet, mold on inside of shower curtain, indoor pool was drained and unavailable to use, toilet lid was round but toilet bowl was elongated, vending machine wouldn't accept bills. Bathroom had only 1 small bar soap total to use for shower and sink. Highland needs another choice of hotels to stay at.

as soon as doors open, overwhelming air freshener type smell, knock you in the face no one at the front desk had a bell to press to get someone out there. Desk clerk was very friendly. That part was good. place needed some upgrading room walls had discoloration. Not sure if it was mold or not in the bathroom didn’t didn’t touch it. Room was clean over all. sat on bed and it and felt like you were gonna hit the floor. The other bed mattress was good. There was no security lock on the door it had been broken, so didn’t feel 100% safe there not much in the way of hotels in that town so we had to take what we could get

Hotel was decent. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean enough. Bathtub/shower was very slippery with no mat or way to prevent falling. Bed was comfortable. Overall, above average, but nothing to write home about.

Well...
Unfortunately, the room we had at check in was not in good condition. The bathroom door would not close and the air conditioning unit did not work. Thankfully, the staff at the front desk were able to get us into a different room which was somewhat better. The overall condition of the hotel shows its age. The pool was not open when we were there. I appreciated that breakfast was included.
