It is always amazing to stay at a Holiday Inn Express. You exactly what you are getting. Clean comfortable rooms. I really like the showers instead of a bath/shower combo.

The hotel seemed rather dated. The rooms seemed cramped. Some of the light switches had cracked and broken plates around them. The rooms seemed very damp, although the area had received a lot of rain earlier in the week. The breakfast buffet was better than most hotels of its class, however the staff seemed put out when asked to change the channel on the lobby TV (no one wants a nature documentary of animals killing each other at 7:30am) The most concerning part was our first night at 2:30am I woke to the sounds of gun fire, and then around 3:15am I heard a second round of gun fire.
