The Space:
As you drive down the driveway, prepare to be charmed by the rustic beauty of the apartments exterior. Nestled amidst Tasmania's stunning natural landscape, it offers breathtaking waterfront views of the Kanamaluka/River Tamar.
Step onto the south-west facing entrance deck and soak in the magnificent river vistas. Spend leisurely hours watching yachts sail by and admiring the native wildlife that frequent the area.
Inside, through the large sliding glass doors, you'll find luxurious designs and sleek finishes. The open living-dining space is bathed in natural light from the ceiling-high windows. Relax on the comfortable leather seating next to the toasty fireplace, enjoying the stunning river views or a good book.
The well-appointed kitchen boasts pastel cabinetry, marble-style benchtops, and modern appliances, providing a peaceful space to cook favourite meals. Four bar stools at the island bench offer a beautiful spot to enjoy your creations.
In the hallway, behind the cabinetry doors, you'll discover a European laundry with a washing machine and laundry sink. Opposite, the modern bathroom features stylish designs, a luxurious bath, and a spacious walk-in shower with a ceiling-mounted shower head.
Upstairs, the mezzanine area offers picturesque views and a queen-sized bed to enjoy them from. Built-in cabinetry provides ample storage, while the east-facing window offers views of the surrounding rural properties.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire property and can access via a lockbox at any time. The doorway at the end of the hallway is locked, and not for guest use.
The Neighborhood:
Bordering the Kanamaluka/River Tamar, Hillwood offers a tranquil, rural-style suburb for those who seek a peaceful getaway. The homes sit amongst serene native bushland and rolling hills, with many sitting on generous sized blocks, providing space and privacy. Hillwood is the perfect base for travellers, situated right in the middle of the City of Launceston and a popular beachside town, George Town.
Hillwood offers many renowned attractions and places to visit right at your doorstep. Make sure to stop by the Hillwood Berry Farmgate. Here you can visit the tasty cafe where you can enjoy a beautiful berry ice-cream or purchase some lovely jams or fruit wines made from the freshly picked produce. Enjoy a Tassie must-do experience, and pick-your-own berries. Get your hands dirty and fill your bellies whilst picking your own punnets of berries whilst in season!
Take a stroll down by the calm river, visit the Egg Island Point reserve, or warm your soul with a delicious coffee with a view at the beautiful Hillwood Coffee Shop. Looking for a local boutique vineyard experience? Make sure to visit the lovely Hinton Bay Vineyard. With the vineyard serving up some of the most divine cool-climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir options in the state, you won't want to miss this one!
Take a short drive to George Town, where you can visit the historical Maritime Museum, feast your eyes on the stunning Low Head Lighthouse, or take a guided tour while spotting some adorable fairy penguins that reside on the shores of Low Head. For those thrill seekers out there, the iconic George Town Mountain Bike Trails are just a stone's throw away, providing guests with an extensive range of mountain bike networks to tackle, at all skill levels.
Launceston is only a 30 minute drive away, which showcases a variety of shops, delectable cafes and restaurants, as well as the City Park which is known for its beautiful oak tree gardens, playground for the children, plant-filled conservatory and cheeky snow monkeys. Whilst in the CBD, make sure to visit the Cataract Gorge. A spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks, fresh water swimming basins, the world's longest single-span chairlift and vibrant peacocks! An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations.
Getting Around:
To get the most out of your stay, to be able to explore all that Launceston and its surrounds have to offer, a car is recommended. Additionally, there are many alternative options listed below:
METRO BUS SERVICE: Metro bus service provides transportation throughout Launceston and its surrounding suburbs each day. To access timetables, routes, and prices, please visit the Metro Tasmania Website.
FREE TIGER BUS: The bus travels around the city. There are bus stops located nearby outside Princes Square Park and the Launceston General Hospital. ELECTRIC SCOOTERS: You will find purple electric scooters scattered around Launceston. To access these, please download the App ‘Beam’. Please wear the helmet provided and be safe!

Other Things to Note:
The driveway and parking areas are not sealed. Please be mindful of wildlife when driving.
Please be mindful of water usage as the property's water source is tank water. Please keep your showers to a maximum of 25 minutes at a time to avoid running out of hot water throughout your stay.
There is a large staircase inside the property, and steps to enter onto the exterior deck.
Please note that there are no blinds in the main living areas; and although there are covers in the upstairs bedroom, the sunshine will still pour into the space at sunrise.
