I know it’s an old building but for the price it was extremely dirty. Bathroom layers of dust and some left behind hairs, there was some kind of gooey substance on a chair. Lifted the cushion and there was mold. Utilized the shuttle service for the cruise. This was actually one of the perks why we picked harbor house. No communication on why it was 30 minutes late. Went inside to check on it and a guy says I just walked out to tell you it would be here in 10 min. He didn’t do that. I was standing out there the entire time. N the way back the shuttle didn’t come at the designated time so my son and I walked the 20 min to get our car and did it ourselves.

We stayed one night at this hotel to have convenient access to the activities we had planned. Location is great, easy access to just about anywhere in Galveston, and our room was very spacious, comfortable, and modern.

Overcharged and hotel won't respond
Staff was not nice or helpful at check in, rooms are very dark and bathroom was not clean. Was charged $15 for shuttle service to the cruise port that I didn't use and was told I would be refunded. I never got the money back and hotel won't respond to emails. This is an odd looking hotel with a creepy vibe. Don't stay here.

We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are huge and nicely decorated. I loved our view. My only complaint was that our AC wasn't working and I notified that our room got very hot.

You may see advertised that they have a pool. They do at their sister property nearby, however if you want to go, you have to pay to Uber over.you think for the money you are paying for the room you’d at least get a free shuttle. That was disappointing. It is very close to the Carnival Cruise terminal. However, the Front Desk lady kept asking us if we wanted a shuttle, we asked how far and she told us four blocks but she kept insisting we get the shuttle. We purchased the tickets for it. When we saw how close it was, we asked for a refund. It was promptly given. We got there 1 1/2 hours early for check in and she charged us $20. We were tired so we paid. When we asked for a refund for the shuttle the General Manager gave us that money back too! I guess she wasn’t supposed to do that especially when the rooms were ready. There are 3 great restaurant options right next to the hotel and a short walk to the downtown area.
