The hotel was very nice and service was great. The only suggestion would be to upgrade the rooms with new plugs with USBs and a new TV that you can stream.

Great location - the five stars though were awarded decades ago and the Rex is far too world weary to still be considered that. The staff are very good in a stiff, old fashioned 5 star way and the facilities are good but just like the rest of the decor could do with a makeover.

Staff is very helpful, friendly and went beyond expectation to ensure my stay as most comfortable as possible. I was given a nice room but very noisy on the first day. Ms Vy and her team helped to move me to a room which was much more quiet. Although the hotel facilities are not new, the services here are truly 5 stars, which I guess the main thing for hotel guests to remember and return.

This historic hotel is perfectly located for tourist’s visiting Ho Chi Minh. It is close to many of the sites, shopping, and restaurants. The hallways are filled with historic pictures. The room had all the necessary amenities. The staff was kind enough to switch our rooms after the first one had a strong mold smell. The breakfast buffet had a wide array of foods. I received a surprise birthday cake delivered to my room, which was so thoughtful! The Rex hotel was definitely worth the stay!

Overall, it is a nice place to stay. The rooms are very nice and the hotel is not that big. My room did not have a view though. You might want to check that. The breakfast was amazing. I would stay there again just for that.
