Really appreciated the staff at this property. The only drawbacks, unfortunately, were significant enough to drop this property by one star. Pros: WONDERFUL staff, loads of DVDs to check out for viewing, glow worm dell just across the street, comfortable beds, alpaca field on the property, clean facility. Cons: really small room - too small to get comfortable with our travel companions (who were staying in an adjacent room) for movie night. WiFi was extremely difficult. I had to open the window blinds and set up my laptop on the kitchen sink in order to get any signal at all. And even then, I frequently gave up trying to get online because internet was so slow. Otherwise, a wonderful property.

Log cabin near the beach and a glow worm dell nearby. There is a small farm enclosure with 3 alpacas, few mountain goats & a cat in the middle if the property. A small but stocked kitchen & dining area inside the room.

Nice beach right in front of our deck. Bedroom is upstairs, bathroom and kitchen downstairs. Room was warm, bed very comfortable, and the jacuzzi tub was wonderful. Highly recommend

Nous sommes arrivées fin de l’après midi vers 6h00. Nous avons commencé le repas. Le café était resté dans la cafetière et était moisi dans la cafetière quand nous sommes entrés. Il n’y avait pas de serviette dans la chambre. La réception fermait à 6h30…. Et ne rouvrait qu’à 9h00 le lendemain.

We did not enjoy our stay here. Mold in bathroom shower. Mirror needs replacing. Kitchen table and chairs need replacing. Stains on chair pads the bottoms of chairs are peeling and weathered. Property needs a deep clean and some remodeling. Recall the showers would eliminate the mold.

Great little spot just a mile from town. Faculties were great. I stayed in a 1 bed studio but looks like they cater for all types including campers! On site laundry. Great spot if in Hokitika!

The property is nice. If travelling with kids there is also a playground and animals (llamas, etc). The suite was very clean and comfortable. The only thing to note is that check in is at 3pm and there is no staff there until that time. We arrived a little early from a long drive and went to see if we could have early check in. No one there to let us know either way. However town is a 3 minute drive away so we kept busy. Another notable thing about this property is that there is a natural flow worm fell right across the street. Free to enter and quite amazing.

Nice motel with cute log cabins. So close to the beach. Good for a walk to search for neat stones. Really enjoyed our stay. Love that this place is pet friendly. Our spaniel enjoyed it as much as we did

We had a nice family cabin that backs onto a beach which was wonderful for sunsets. Small kitchenette which allowed us to cook some meals. No centralized heating but did have heaters for the rooms.
