Perfect mix of rustic with modern amenities
Loved the rustic quality and escape from technology. There’s no tv nor is there constant or strong enough signal for streaming, which was great with us, but we were able to communicate as needed with family via texts so that was all we needed. The new double vanity bathroom with hotel quality towels is a nice modern touch and much appreciated after a long day of hiking nearby dunes. The bed has hotel quality pillows and linens which made for great sleep. No A/C wasn’t an issue even though it was in the 80’s. Opening both front and back doors provided a nice breeze, and ceiling and box fans (provided) made for a cool night’s sleep. The kitchen and bathroom are stocked with the essentials, with both a coffee pot and single serve Keurig provided with coffee and pods available, but you will need to bring your own cream and sugar, if desired. The hike over the dunes to the beach is a definite whopper, as someone mentioned. We didn’t mind it at all, and got a beautiful sunset view without going all the way up and over again, but it’s not a trip you want to take multiple times so don’t forget anything. Love the rustic decor and am intrigued about the history of some of it, and the original cabin itself. The stained glass touches are especially lovely. This is a special place we will come back to over and over.

Cozy Stay!
A remote location built for cozy times. As an FYI - no fires of any kind are permitted, including the designated bonfire area. No cell service at all. Appreciated the privacy and the quiet neighborhood!

Cozy Cabin!
Loved the cabin. It was in a great place...near beach access but it was quite a trek going down the dunes to get to the beach and up quite a bit of stairs to leave the beach. I went on the town website and it mentioned dogs were allowed but when we got there the signs clearly stated "no dogs". The beach was very small, but just big enough to enjoy an evening watching the beautiful sunset over the lake...made for a great evening!

Get back to the basics
The cabin is very private and located in the woods. Short walk to the beach and 15 minute drive to Holland. Great way to set aside technology and get back to the basics. We used the fire pit and indoor fireplace every night and cooled all of our food on the grill.

Great location
Really cute cabin, but need some finishing touches. For example, they need three more towel bars in the bathroom. Also there isn’t even a pot with a lid to boil some water or cook pasta. There isn’t even any salt and pepper in the kitchen. They also didn’t have any boardgames, which was a real drag when the weather turned bad

Deer Creek cabin in perfectly located between Sagatuk and Holland. A short walk to the public beach and dunes. Plenty of firewood for gathering. We enjoyed the exploring.

Perfect Wedding Weekend Cabin!
I rented this sweet little cabin in the woods for my son and his new bride for 2 days after their wedding. They loved the seclusion in the woods yet it was so close to eating places and beaches for them not to have to cook. They had a wonderful relaxing couple days post wedding stress! They want to return in 1 year to celebrate their anniversary. Perfection!

A fun mix of old days cabin and modern amenities. It has a creaky screen door that bangs shut, a porch swing and a vinyl record player. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bathroom is modern and has a good shower. My husband went here for a quick getaway to be tourists in Saugatuck, enjoy the sand dunes and Lake Michigan beaches and keep Covid-safe since I am immune suppressed. This cabin worked perfectly for us. Of course the perfect weather was helpful.
