Captain's Quarters, one of four residences making up Spinnaker's Vacation Cottages, is located 250 steps to the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico in the heart of Holmes Beach.

Captain's Quarters is the largest of the residences and boasts colorful and beachy decor in the kitchen, dining and living rooms. Each of the three bedrooms features a king sized bed and TV and includes crisp linens and plush towels in the bathrooms from our professional linen service. Your guests will stay connected with complimentary WIFI and enjoy all of the comforts of home.

Spinnaker's Vacation Cottages are four individual residences with shared outdoor space. The backyard features a heated pool by pool loungers and Adirondack chairs. Guests will enjoy the gas grill and dining poolside under the umbrella at the patio table.

Captain's Quarters is a dog friendly home! If you have added a dog to your reservation under the number of pets, the fee of $150 per dog plus tax has been added to your reservation total. Please note, there is a 2-dog limit, some restrictions apply.

Catch the nearby free island trolley, which travels the entire length of the 7 miles of the island. Hop on and off at your leisure and explore shopping, dining and the beaches. The perfect location for your next beach vacation!

Lots of laughs

This property has recently been remodeled because the listing was different than what we arrived to! Everything was perfect! The courtyard was perfect for morning coffee! A short walk to the beautiful beach using the chairs well stocked from the VRBO. The heated pool was amazing to relax in after the beach. Beds were comfortable too!

We had a girls trip and chose this property due to 3 large bedrooms and a private pool. The walk to the beach was super easy and I went there every morning for a sunrise stroll. We loved the kitchy decor and felt right at home there. We didnt require anything extra or encounter any problems so I cant make a fair assessment of the rental office.

We love this cottage!

This was our second year staying in this cottage. We absolutely love it! The decor is so cute and everything is clean and well kept. Last year we had 5 people and this year 6 and it was still perfect. We love this part of the island and the closeness to the beach….just a short walk! I know we will continue to return to this cottage unless our family grows more and we need more space.

Lovely place but had some issues due to hurricane Debby

The place was as beautiful as shown in the listing. Spacious and comfy and felt like a home away from home. We did have issues our first few days there. Because of hurricane Debby the house flooded a little and we were out of power for 18 hours. Definitely no fun and put a damper on our vacation .

Great place to stay!! This is a great location to beach access. House is clean and comfortable. Would recommend and would stay again! The shared space was still private and we couldn’t hear neighbors at all from our space. Property management company was super responsive to any question and we had the best time!

The Captains Quarters was so perfect and roomy. Entire house was very clean and stocked. Super close to the beach. Beds were comfortable. Pool was great. Just wish the hot tub worked (no heat or bubbles). You will want to bring some extra toilet paper if staying a week.

Home Away From Home

Had a wonderful time at this cottage in Anna Maria Island. The cottage was exactly as described. The shared pool was rarely in use when we used it and was a nice option when the beach got too hot for us northerners. The location is perfect and within short distance or walk to restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay here again. So relaxing!

Wonderful stay at Spinnakers Cottages

Our family of five adults had an amazing stay in this lovely cottage! The decor made it so homey and cozy. Everything was very clean, the kitchen well stocked, and communication was also very easy. We loved the easy walk to the beach! We especially enjoyed the front porch area that this particular cottage. We would definitely return in the future!

It was a awesome vacation. The property was very nice. Great location. There one thing that was misleading. The pool was not heated and the spa did not work. It would been nice to know that. You should change that in the listing. This amenity was one of the many reasons we choose the property. Overall it was nice.

Quaint cottage

Property was so enjoyable. Close to the beach and a nice little pool. Place was pretty well stocked with whatever you needed to cook. The only thing I would recommend is a bigger trash can in the kitchen and baskets in the bedrooms. Make sure to buy extra Tp,Kleenex tissues and garbage bags. You will need more than provided.

Fun times at Captain’s quarters

We thoroughly enjoyed AMI, our rental and our 9 lovely vacation days. For the most part this property was accurately described. It was uniquely decorated … full of charm and fun quirkiness. I would’ve rated it as 5 out of 5 if it’s electric appliances were well maintained. The fridge’s light and ice maker weren’t working … the dishwasher’s instructions were faded and we had to guess what programs were needed to operate it. Washer and dryer were of great heavy duty makes but looked rusty. They worked though. Flooring definitely needed maintenance in the small bathroom and under the chairs of the living area. It was too tired and obviously faced some tough times in the past. TV wiring and that of the huge “Theater” neon sign (wasn’t working) was loosely kept. We had no kids with us but I felt it can’t be safe if there were any. Too many wires visible in many spots. I hope my listing of these points above will prompt action to fix/maintain them. They’re all minor and fixable. The place is gorgeous otherwise. Location is perfect … very near to a beach access. Porch is charming for coffee and afternoon tea. Main bathroom is GORGEOUS … bath tub and flooring were just unforgettable. Communication with rental agency was a bit slow at the start. I had the feeling that they were overwhelmed with work. When I did get a hold of someone (not through email as that wasnt answered .. but rather by calling) he was very professional, polite and efficient. Check in-out was accurate and smooth. Safety code mentioned in check in instructions wasn’t in place but the area is very safe.
