Property and hotel rooms were well situated and we had a fantastic partial ocean view room. The hotel amenities were great and we used most of them. Proximity to the beach and a large variety of restaurants was great. The only thing that we didn't really get to take advantage of was the Longboard Club, which was an add-on morning breakfast package, which seemed relatively expensive for what was being offered... so that meant going out and finding breakfast, which wasn't too much of an issue with lots of places to choose from.

We stayed for 5 nights, at check in “Alexandra” was horrible to us. So much so the manager had to tell her to be quiet. They had messed up our rooms, we booked adjoining rooms and even verified the day prior but at check in, they had nothing available. Management did a great job making that happen, we had underaged kids.. There were bugs on all floors of the hotel, small fruit flies everywhere in our hallway (27th floor) and our rooms (we had two rooms) were infested with them. My kids couldn’t even eat in the room because of the bugs. My in-laws stayed on the 20th floor and had the same problem. On our last night there, huge cockroaches were walking around the hallways outside the elevator, again this was on the 27th floor. Will never stay here again. The bell desk staff were amazing and knowledgeable, and the pool staff were also very good. We stayed 12/31-1/5/25 for reference.

Kasa was so helpful, friendly and welcoming during the check in process and allocated me a fabulous room in my favourite part of the property where I can see my favourite body boarding reef. I feel completely safe in the hotel and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The staff at Momosan are too and their food is delicious. The hotel is in a great location for all beach activities, walking, shopping and dining. The Go Green housekeeping initiative is a terrific idea. It's impossible not to feel relaxed and happy when staying at the Alohilani. That was my 6th stay and I'll be back for more as long as they maintain their very high standards of customer service. Congratulations to the manager and all the staff for a job well done!

The photo on Expedia advertising the rooms was photoshopped and when I asked about our “ocean view” room at the front desk, they said they couldn’t help me get to a better room because they were full. The bathroom had mold and peeling paint. We will never stay here again. A total waste of money.

Though it's with 5 star status, feel like it's been overrated. Bathroom was unimaginably small and standard amenities were not provided, like shower cap and stuff. Lobby was very grand but the corridors and carpets are a bit run down, needs renovation. Staff were vert friendly.
