This a great location for the beach, when I said across the street, that it is. Nothing is perfect. The employee was polite but they really didn't speak to you. The rooms just a bit outdated but clean. Three elevators and they were on point. You really didn't wait on one. Oh I had an joining room And you can hear very well. Basically that was my only downside of the place...But again I promise this place is central location is great..You can walk either way, one way the Zoo, the other was restaurant's and shopping

Our family reserved 2 rooms at the Waikiki' Alohilani Resort for 14 days after abruptly leaving a VRBO that was not suitable. The Alohilani is perfect. It is situated just steps away from Waikiki Beach and nestled among coffee shops, retail, and ice cream places. The hotel staff is polite and helpful. The property is beautiful. We took advantage of the daily breakfast buffet for the extra cost and we loved it. The meal choices were different everyday. I will always choose the Alohilani. If you’re a mom looking for a suitable place for your family to stay while in Hawaii, this is it.

When we are in Oahu or staying near Waikiki beach, this is our preferred hotel, and I’m glad to see some of the Japanese tourists return. After Covid and with the USA bailing out consumers, it really wasn’t pleasant to see entitled Americans at the hotel, always complaining about a room upgrade when they don’t book ocean view or ocean front. I’m an affluent USA citizen, so I’m glad to see more tourists who have more respect as a core part of their culture return vs some “ghetto” American’s with their stimulus checks. Hotel is clean as always and front desk and all the staff are kind and professional. Good job “weathering” the pandemic.

The pool is nice to hangout. The resort provided pool lounge chair covers, which is a nice touch. Our room was cleaned everyday. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a diamondhead and partial ocean view room - it’s the best getting up every morning to that view. Loud noises happened a couple of nights. It’s because of the luau nearby but it stopped by 9pm. We definitely stay at Alohilani Resort again when in Waikiki!

Decent property, don’t think it should be a 5 star though. Room smelt like the sea and musty, so A/C was constantly running to keep us comfortable. No running fan in the bathroom, not sure if they are supposed to come with one? Bathroom constantly musty and foggy during showers. Toilet did have a bidet though, that was a nice touch. The cabanas were “cool” but not $150 $100 minimum on drinks / food cool. I mean guess it’s to make you look more exclusive to the people eating at the tables. But to me, it felt I paid $250 to watch people eating at their tables with coverage. Food was good. Oyster was not, had to fight swallowing that one. It was like the biggest seasoned sauced booger. Stomach hurt immediately after. Barely any shopping inside the resort, just small independent shops. ABC store got most my business. Walking to beach was literally just a street over, it was perfect. Had our own personal homeless guy outside our building from 10pm-3am. He sat in front of the “Waikiki Resort Hotel” up from the McDonalds and just screamed to himself and anyone who was in distance to hear him but not touch him. I wanted to scream back and argue cause I was drunk and bored myself, but I forgot I’m a classy person. Morimoto Asia = Food was bomb. Price was $$$$. Noi Thai = Food was trash. Price was $$$ for a handful. This is coming from Thai people. KFOODHAWAII = Food was 🔥! Price was $$. Maybe best Korean teriyaki chicken / beef I’ve experienced.
