The location of the Best Western is convenient - it’s close to the airport and from what I can tell, it’s one of the few hotels in Honolulu that has an airport shuttle; which was most important to our group of 16 people. The facility however is dated. Also, as a lessons learned I originally booked the courtyard which is two floors does not have an elevator. I learned what stair access only means 😅. It was not an issue to switch to the tower which has elevators. Staff is friendly.

Very crowded. Airport shuttle was great. Elevator out of service during week we visited but came back in service on morning of our departure. Staff was friendly and helpful. They called on checkin day and we got into our room hours early. I really appreciated that. Breakfast was very good but crowded. We couldn’t find a table to sit at Saturday morning. I was so grateful they offered soy milk. Many upscale hotels do not. Overall we liked our stay!

Water problems
It was good. The only thing that was wrong was the shower. It had 3 knobs, 2 for hot/cold water & 1 to turn the shower on. Turn on the water to get it warm enough while its still on the bottom spout but as soon as you put it up to the shower head, it goes freezing cold. Front desk said they never heard of tgat problem & there was engineers on site. After messing around with it i found out that if you turn the shower knob completely on, you'll loose the hot water, if you turn it back some, you'll hot water but that leaves most of the water coming out from the bottom making the water pressure weak & then it still flips from hot to cold.

It was my first time visiting the area and I chose this hotel because all the fancier hotels in Waikiki were VERY expensive. The only negative was that my room was on the 7th floor with a good view of the local Freeway. Otherwise, this hotel was probably the best value for the money, and the staff were very helpful.

Helpful staff. Saved m money on a ride to Ala Moana shopping center. Instead of getting a Lyft or Uber ($25), they pointed out the bus stop down the street ($3). Clean and comfortable room. Great hot full breakfast in the morning, free. Free airport shuttle. Would stay here again.
