The property is very close to the beach and shopping. The beach is packed full of people though. The shopping is the same ABC store over and over! The noise here is so bad! And the noise is all day and night! The bed was extremely uncomfortable and worn down. The view was great though! The staff was really friendly!

This is an affordable-for-Waikiki, clean, well-run hotel at the less tourist-mobbed, generally quieter, end of Waikiki. Splurge on a Diamond Head view room on a higher floor for sweeping views of the crater and park. Deck restaurant serves good food at Waikiki prices. The free yoga classes and lei making workshops enhance the vacation experience.

Wrong room, loud construction & poop on the floor
I was out in a handicapped room with two beds instead of the single king I booked. Even after I asked to keep my original reservation the front desk refused to change my room back. There was construction happening in the pool so it was very loud all day and not relaxing at all. In order to use the pool we had to walk to another hotel but it was raining my entire stay so that was off the table. There was poop on the carpet right in front of the elevators that stayed there for a while day even after being reported.

This hotel is older in furnishings but is the PERFECT location. Extremely friendly helpful staff. We received an upgrade and had the most beautiful room ever! It was absolutely dreamy!

Staff was nice. The hotel and our room was very clean. The only deal breaker was parking. There is only valet parking at $50 per day, but, our 3rd night the garage was completely full. So, we had to park across the street at Honolulu Zoo. It was metered parking where we had to pay every 4 hours, maximum 16 hours. I had to set alarm at 3 AM just to pay on phone app. Ridiculous. Unfortunately, that will cause me to not come back for a future stay. I had a rental to do things around the island, so Uber not reasonable. Extremely inconvenient.

Hotel was OK. Food at restaurant was mediocre, service at restaurant and valet/concierge were hit or miss. Asked for beach chairs and towels and was told to come behind counter and get ourselves. Many of the employees did not seem to want to be there.
