"We got a room overlooking the river and garden. The room was very nice and updated. It came with a refrigerator and microwave, which is always handy to have. Easy access to the room from the parking lot. The view was beautiful. You can ask for a non-pets room if you are severely allergic. We didn't know this, and we both have some allergies, but the room was clean and we didn't notice it at all (assuming pets had been in the room)."

"Columbia Gorge Hotel is a true gem, and we are always thrilled to stay there. The classic touches like a real person to operate the elevator and bring the ice bucket to our room are delightful in this day. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. The room was comfortable and the bed was great. People were all very friendly and helpful, and we love the Valentino posters and all the lovely classic art deco and art on the walls. The formal dining room is delightful, although was not in use when we were there. The dining area with view of the river is always a treat, and the breakfast was delicious. The fireplace room with free coffee is also a wonderful bit of old charm with modern amenities. Thanks for keeping this jewel of the Columbia operating in such style!"

"What was unique was the access to the rooms and power. The room key was also the key to turn on the lights of the room. A smart way to not loose your key as it sits in a holder on the wall to make the lights run. Also a smart way to save power for the company."

"Very nice hotel. Great staff service, especially Josh, who helped us with our internet hook-up. Clean room, fresh linen, plenty of towels. Nice spa area. Would recommend."
