This two bedroom one bathroom 752 sq ft 1940’s Potlatch cottage has been completely renovated and is ready for you to enjoy! The story goes that this little cottage was transported years and years ago from Potlatch to Hoodsport by Tacoma Power.
The quaint town of Hoodsport is within walking distance, as well as the Port of Hoodsport. Lake Cushman is a short drive up the hill and Potlatch State Park is minutes away. This cottage is a perfect location for exploring Hoodsport shops (Icecream, Hoodsport coffee, Distillery, Wine tasting, beer tasting) and activities. Or head up to Lake Cushman! Want to hike Staircase Rapids Loop? Or, if a cozy retreat suites you better, this is your place! Grab a blanket, snuggle in and relax! We love to cook so the kitchen is fully stocked for your convenience. No need to bring toiletries, we’ve got that covered, except for toothpaste! We offer a queen bed, and a full bed in each bedroom and an armchair that folds out into bed (great for the smaller people!). Come see what Hoodsport has for you!

Great little house conveniently located
Had a great weekend with my family at this house. It has a well appointed kitchen with everything we needed for making delicious meals. It was clean and comfortable. The smart lock to get in is a little confusing at first. Just remember to tap the screen, press the two numbers that appear, then once the full key pad appears enter your code. Technology sometimes :) Be sure to check out nearby Lake Cushman and the Olympic National Park neaby. It's only 30 minutes to the park from this house and is worth a visit if you love big trees and clear beautiful rivers!

The cottage was incredibly well appointed in terms of amenities. Clean and roomy-great kitchen and bathroom. The outside front deck-room for 2 was very pleasant. We would stay there anytime! Very convenient to town and canal-only a block!

Sweet cozy house
Wonderful cottage, neat very clean, every aspect well thought out. A lovely kitchen, super comfortable beds. Very quiet. A babbling brook you can hear at night. A greeter cat, lovely and very friendly. Nice walking distance to Hoodsport. We will be staying here again. Thank you. Lovely Cottage on the Canal
Wonderful cottage with an amazing host. My girlfriend and I originally booked this home in September for a weekend dive trip on Hood Canal. Unfortunately she tested positive for COVID just a few days before our planned dates. Our Host was amazing in allowing us to move our dates to another month at no additional cost. That alone speaks volumes about Jenn. On top of that, the home is lovely. It’s well apportioned and clearly newly remodeled. It’s tastefully decorated in a cozy way as if the home itself is giving you a warm hug. I recommend this property without hesitation and can definitely envision staying here again!

This is probably the nicest house I have rented. It was absolutely spotless. Beautifully decorated. It has all the amenities and then some. Very sweet touch is that she is doing this in the memory of her mom and put together a cookbook with her mom‘s favorite recipes to share with everyone. She was very easy to communicate with and Quick to respond when we had a slight issue with the code for the key. I would highly recommend this house to anyone interested in staying in the area. The town is small, but there’s a winery for the ladies and a bar next-door for the guys. We enjoy traveling up the road to Alderbrook for lunch, and then sightseeing in the area. There’s probably more to do in the summer here, but we had a lovely time in the fall and enjoyed watching movies on the included Netflix and Amazon, and playing music on the Alexa.

Very nice rental! It was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. We loved the coffee shop down the road, and the convenience of being off highway 101. Would definitely recommend!

This property is just as pictured. It has an updated interior and is well kept. We even saw some wildlife! We saw a mom and 2 baby deer during our stay. The only downside was we thought the property would be ready early based off some communication from the host, but it wasn't. We left and came back at check in time and it still wasn't ready. The digital lock was a bit confusing too. A fan would have been nice to have at night becuase it got a little stuffy. (We are used to a/c/ central air). Once we got in and figured out the lock, we were impressed by the clean space. Overall great place to stay!
