Book a hotel near Hoopers Bay, George Town

"The location of Sandy Palms and also Coral Sands next door, can't be beat. The Hoopers Bay area is clean and pristine, and at times felt as if we had the whole stretch of beach to ourselves. The apartment suite we had was just right for two; the bed was comfortable, and the small kitchenette had everything we needed to make most meals. There are many various restaurant options and small grocery stores up and down the coast in Exuma, so food was never an issue. The hosts Peter and Betty were lovely, so helpful and accommodating, changing linens when needed, and providing much needed advice on day trips. A car is a must, as it opens up the whole island to many days of exploration. When we go back to Exuma, we will be staying here again! "

"We had a perfectly lovely stay at the villa hosted by Four Turtles. The view from the balcony that greeted us was breathtaking. We were happily surprised to be greeted by the neighborhood cat named by several neighbors as "Princess Muriel Speckles". The kitchen is well equipped and has new appliances. This was great because we did a lot of cooking (food in restaurants in the Bahamas is quite expensive). Smitty's grocery and the liquor store is very close by. The air conditioning in the villa kept us quite cool and the bedrooms were cozy.The best part of the villa is the location - directly on Hooper's Bay and in the center of the island. We enjoyed swimming and walking the beach daily. Thank you for a lovely stay!"

"Wow— what a wonderful place to stay! Eric and his wife were great hosts and their condo was perfect for our trip to Exuma. The condo was in a beautiful and peaceful bay where the water was the most amazing shade of blue. The condo came perfectly equipped with everything we needed to cook and enjoy the beach. Close to town, the airport, and a food market. It was clean, well kept and Eric gave us lots of great recommendations to tour around the island. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back! "

"We had a wonderful stay! The villa was perfect for 4 people. Very clean, with an easy path to the beach. The beach chairs were helpful. It was centrally located to most amenities and restaurants etc. It's a newly renovated villa, so my only future requests would be a few more bath towels and wash cloths (had a washer though so it worked out) and perhaps a couple of folding luggage racks that could easily be stored if not in use. We would rent this villa again, it really was very nice! "

"We stayed at 1 of the 3 cottages. I had a difficult time figuring out where it was prior to booking as VRBO doesn't always show the exact location. It would help if a picture of where it is on the map was included in the listing photos. It was a convenient location in the middle of the island. While you could technically walk to the beach, I wouldn't necessarily recommend that. A rental car was necessary to travel around and the road to get to the cottage is very rutted. Shenifer also has cars for rent which was very convenient. She left the car at the airport for us to pick when we arrived. FYI- you drive on the left side. We spent little time in the cottage other than to shower & sleep so it had everything we needed. The cottage had 2 beach chairs, beach towels, and she loaned us a cooler. It was very clean! Also, very reasonably priced! Shenifer was helpful and quick to respond to messages! If you just need a place a cozy clean place to rest in between adventuring on the island- I highly recommend!"

"You can't go wrong with staying in Hooper's Bay. The water quality, the location, the beach, all glorious. And, you certainly can't go wrong with Coral Sands and Peter and Betty as your host. They are simply the best!"
