Beachfront paradise: Spectacular views, huge deck, central location, backup gen!

This was the first home situated on this secluded stretch of White Sound beach, built in 1982. The home and its grounds have been maintained and updated periodically and, since its construction, has been fit with all the modern amenities, including a backup generator. Over the years, time and storms have pushed the shoreline closer and closer to the property, offering uniquely spectacular views from the front porch. The property is situated perfectly between the charming village of Hopetown and the serene white sands of Tahiti beach, with bars, restaurants, and shopping in between. Although this is a walker's paradise, the island is dominated by golf carts - which is not currently included with the house but can be rented from a number of nearby companies. The 2nd level of St. Somewhere is a surrounded by windows, offering a 360 degree views of the island and its beauty. The expansive front deck is excellent for spreading out and relaxing with a drink and good book, or for enjoying meals 'with a view'. New beds/linens/towels, living area and kitchen updated in 2022!

Love at First Sight
Wow! We were totally blown away by St. Somewhere. It was even more beautiful than the pictures. We loved the casual cottage style with a spectacular view from every window. There were so many thoughtful amenities throughout the house. We loved having a washer/dryer, beach towels and colorful throws to use on the outside deck. Wi-Fi was high speed and AC worked well.The house is centrally located - a quick bike or golf cart ride into Hope Town as well as the restaurants and grocery stores on the island. Jeff helped us arrange a ride from the ferry dock and provided us with all the check-in information in advance. We will be back!!!

What a view!
Jeff, thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us! My family and I had a wonderful stay! The house is perfect for a family of 5. The kitchen had everything we needed, the a/c was cold and fans in all the rooms helped keep things cool. Location was perfect-in the middle between Hope Town and Tahiti Beach! The new Sea Spray marina was also close. Mackeys, where you could get homemade baked goods, breads and breakfast sandwiches and coffee was down the street. My favorite part of the house was the back deck. You can watch sunrise and sit in the Adirondack chairs and listen to the ocean and watch the surfers. My family and I also did our morning yoga stretches there! At night you can see every star in the sky! Just beautiful! Jeff was super attentive and answered all my texts immediately. Check in was easy. Jeff also provided us with transport from dock to the house. Jeremy was on time and reliable. We will most definitely be back!

Beatiful
St. Somewhere's location can not be beat. Having the ability to sit in the living room and look out at the many colors of the Atlantic Ocean, even on a rainy day, is priceless. The beach is beautiful and clean. Hopetown, Tahiti Beach, grocery stores and restaurants are all close by. The house is clean and comfortable. Th kitchen is well stocked. The owner, Jeff, responded immediately to all of my texts. We lost power during a storm and the backup generator did not come on. I texted Jeff and he had someone there to fix the situation within 10 minutes. We are returning. We booked the same week again next year!

Great Property and amazing location
Checked in on a Friday and checked out the following Friday. We stayed with another couple and the layout of the house is great for this. Elevated view of the beach provides amazing views all times of the day. We were given instructions via email mail and text prior to our arrival and property manager is quick to reply. Definitely recommend!

A dream vacation and Paradise Found!
First let me say the pictures on VRBO do not do this property justice.. it is a little bit of heaven and more. The ocean views at night and coffee on the beach deck in the morning are both tranquil and rewarding. Sea turtles laid eggs on the beach every night we were there. It was fun to see their tracks every morning. The entire property is super clean! The two downstairs master bedrooms are very comfortable and accommodating with full size closets. The third bedroom loft hosts the best view, but staircase may be a challenge for some :) The rest of our group stayed at the Marina with our boats and we were all so happy to come back to this beautiful property every night. Book a golf cart early as they are tough to get, but don’t worry if you don’t get one. We opted for taxi service which was quick and extremely accommodating. Not having to drive, was a treat. I can tell you the owners have put everything into this property. I can’t say enough about their hospitality at all times. Completely satisfied and would 100% book again. Thank you for sharing such an amazing place!!!!

Beyond dreamy!
This is the most beautiful property ever! We were blessed to be there with a full moon and lots of storms to watch coming over the water and the views are spectacular! I cannot say enough about how helpful Jeff, the property manager was for us, it was our first time to the Abacos and we had a lot of questions! He was very responsive and helpful when we needed it! The power went off and there is a property manager who came to help try the generator! The house is exactly as described, comfortable and nice linens! The bathrooms are original, I think but everything was clean and worked perfectly! Very close to Firefly and Abaco Inn, the grocery and On Da Beach, and Tahiti beach! We expired the beach in front of the house but did not swim. All in all, we are counting days to return and the view and location of this property cannot be beat! Thank you for an incredible vacation!

Cozy Beach House with Stunning Ocean View
I stayed at St. Somewhere last week with my husband and another couple for four nights. The location is perfect. A short golf cart ride to the settlement, marinas and restaurants. The house was spotless and the accommodations were super comfortable. The ocean view was stunning! Jeff went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. He recommended the golf cart and boat rental companies that were very reliable and affordable. I highly recommend St. Somewhere!

Sensational view of the ocean
I traveled with my husband and my two boys. The view is great and the location is perfect. We had 4 other family’s stay within blocks of us. Easy to get around on the golf cart. The house is great. Just needs a few repairs that weren’t anything we couldn’t deal with. Jeff was great and easy to get in touch with as was Sherman the caretaker. Definitely would stay again!

Beautiful house, perfect location
St. Somewhere is located in the center of Elbow Cay directly on the Atlantic Ocean. With the sea breeze, we never needed the air conditioner. The grounds are lovely, the house well-maintained. The Property Manager was very accommodating and helpful. I have been to HT many times and stayed in several places, I would stay here again without hesitation.

Stunning Views - Great Location
My Family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at St Somewhere. My Daughters were able to explore for hermit crabs around the deck and lost treasures on the beach. The most fantastic view and charming home!
We were so so happy that we found this house! This house really has one of the most fantastic views in the area. We woke up every day to find gorgeous shells steps away from the house. The caretaker met us late at the marina due to our heavily delayed flight. He was so kind and met us with our golf cart and helped us find the house in the dark! The house is conveniently located near both Abaco Inn, Firefly Resort and Hope Town. Nothing is very far away. We loved the chic beach decor...all white and simple decorative touches. Our boys loved staying in the "Elbow Room" which is the crow's nest of the house. Waking up to the waves and the crystal blue ocean outside was a true delight. We saw sea turtles, fish, and gorgeous coral and shells. The beaches are beautiful and we highly recommend visiting nearby Tahiti Beach for its clear water and sand bars. Favorite restaurants include: Cracker P's, Hope Town Lodge, Harbour's Edge and Firefly Resort. We certainly hope to return to St. Somewhere in the future!!!!

Beautiful house for a romantic private beach escape!
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful oceanfront home. We celebrate our anniversary with a trip every year to nice beach location, but usually we only have 5 days and so it's a resort type place. We've been to the Bahamas 15 times, Abacos 5. Half the time we stay at Compass Point in Nassau, in an over water bungalow, which is wonderful.The daily flights from Ft. Lauderdale and having your house available for less than a week was a HUGE bonus! We have not been back to Elbow cay since our first out island trip 20 years ago. We stayed at Abaco Inn back then, and loved going back to have a favorite meals (the cook is the same :). The house is absolutely perfect. The views from the living area and kitchen are spectacular, beats all the ocean views we've had before, anywhere, and all the glass sliders were sparkling clean. The house is freshly painted, there is a new large comfortable white couch (you are very brave, but it looks beautiful against the ocean), tons of seating. We spent our days between the island's beautiful beaches swimming and snorkeling, and then relaxing on the huge oceanfront deck . No view beats the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean in the Bahamas. Why would we ever go to a resort when we could have our own private beach and house? The house is supplied with nice linens and towels, including beach towels. We aren't normally VRBO users, but I've been in several upscale ski houses recently that were not as well equipped. We cooked half the meals and had everything we needed. We also own a beach rental house in North Carolina, maintenance is hard on a busy island, I can't imagine what it must be like here. There was a king size bed, which my very tall husband requires, not many in the Bahamas. The house exudes old Bahamian charm. Do not make the mistake we did and forget to rent a cart! You really need one. Fortunately the folks who own Hope Town Carts down the street took pity on us. Bahamas internet is very unsatisfying, there is a chromecast and we brought a Roku but gave up. The beach is coral, must bring beach shoes. Swimming and snorkeling beaches are a short walk either way, but we loved the town beach for swimming and snorkeling. When it was windy, which it is a lot in March, we went to Tahiti beach, so beautiful. We loved going to Abaco Inn for our anniversary dinner, and had a good dinner at Firefly. We brought food in a Yeti cooler, and picked up the rest at the HUGE Maxwell's grocery on Marsh Harbor, the cab waited
