It was extremely close to the airport which was nice and the restaurants but the sinks were clogged, and there were stains on the bedding. We also had to pay for the shuttle to the airport, but when we asked the front desk, the cost was not mentioned (more expensive than taking the Uber)

We got there around 2 am, I had rang ahead to inform them of late check in. Beds comfy, breakfast good. Shuttle bus to Gateick was quite expensive as my eldest is 17.

Convenient location next to LGW with shuttle
The carpeting is old and had a musty smell all over the place; it got pretty strong in some areas. The shower had no soap or bodywash in the bathroom. The fixture only had shampoo and condotioner. The only bodywash was fixed to the wall next to the sink outside the bathroom.

I stayed a night at the Holiday inn Gatwick on the way to go back home in Canada from Spain. I took a shuttle bus from the ground level No. 9 at the Gatwick airport to the hotel. It was 19 UK pounds for family 2 adults 2 kids return tickets as of Aug 2024. At the hotel, there was a airport departure and arrival info screen at the reception area and I found it very useful as i could get to know that my flight was being delayed already in the morning. I had extra relaxing breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast at the hotel was great too with eggs, sausages, baked beans and baked tomatoes. For dinner, I walked about 5-10 min to Ye Old Six Bells which was very old authentic British pub and menu had a wide variety. I fully enjoyed staying at the holiday inn Gatwick.

Great end to a holiday.
Just an overnight stay after a late flight but I thought it was excellent. The room was very clean and well stocked. The bed was very big, comfortable and clean. The breakfast the following morning was very good. From the orange juice (with bits) or other juice of preferred to the range of cereal, the freshly chopped fruit with yogurt, dried fruits and seeds. Then there was a full English with black pudding, granary bread toast, pastries and tea/coffee. Breakfast can be done so wrong so often, but these guys had it spot on for me. Would definitely recommend and will use again when flying to or from Gatwick.

Nice and convenient location. Parking expensive even though we didn’t say over 12 hours we had to pay the £20 rather than the £11. Room service is very expensive. My husband went to the bar to get drinks and take up (as the menu in the room said call us and we will tell you when it’s ready to collect so we just went straight to the bar without calling) and he was charged £5 by the waiter for “room service” even though he went downstairs himself and got 2 drinks. He didn’t even have a tray. No idea why he had to pay the £5. Bed comfortable Aircon good Would stay again
