Live Like a Local in Lake House 10mins to Oaklawn

Live like a local in this unique lake house only 10 minutes from Oaklawn. Beautiful views, a chef's kitchen, and a luxurious master bathroom are only a few of the many things that make this home special. This is not your cookie cutter vacation rental, this is a real family lake house with a ton of character and is the perfect way to get the full Hot Springs experience. This versatile space is intimate enough for a romantic getaway for two, while also being large enough to fit the full family.

The space
Welcome to The "Leake House" with LAKE VIEWS FROM EVERY ROOM! Renovated by an artist with a culinary school graduate daughter, the creativity expressed in this house is indescribable. Cyprus accents from South Arkansas, concrete counters poured by a local sculpture artist, and a copper ceiling in the large chef's kitchen complete with a Viking range and Sub-Zero refrigerator, barely scratch the surface of the unique qualities of this home.

There are 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The Master Suite has a private deck with lake views, is furnished with a king size Purple Mattress, and a large bathroom with walk in shower, jetted soaking tub, and walk in closet. The second bedroom includes a king size sleep number bed, a traditional queen bed, and a half bathroom. The third bedroom has 2 twin size beds and is perfect for the younger family members. All bedrooms furnished with a flat screen TV.

The living room includes a large sectional, flatscreen TV, and a wood burning fireplace with a gas start (Fireplace is not available for use at this time). There is also a dedicated office space with a full sized desk, wireless eco tank printer, and a large area perfect for yoga.

There are multiple decks overlooking Lake Hamilton and a private boat dock that can be used in the summer months. Paddle boats, life jackets, and other items are available for rental at an additional charge.

Guest access
You will have full access to the main floor of the house, additional rooms downstairs are not currently occupied, but are not available for guest use at this time, please do not attempt to open any locked doors or closets. Covered carport easily fits 2 cars with additional driveway on side of house.

Other things to note
Pets are allowed with a $400 non-refundable pet deposit which will be requested after booking. You must let us know before your arrival if you plan on bringing pets.

There are minimal steps to enter house, however there are several steps from the back deck down to the yard with lake access.

Fantastic lake view and peaceful
Our stay was during the Labor day weekend and was a just perfect in distance to our outings with the family. Peaceful at night and about 15mins from Hot Springs bath houses and trails. We ran into a situation that needed communication with the host which was resolved within a few minutes. Overall one of our easiest and enjoyable stays.

Recently did our second stay at this property and it was a great experience. The location of the house is so convenient to stores and restaurants and the view and dock were perfect. The house was very clean and comfortable. Fourth o f July fireworks from the lake was the highlight of our trip. Loking forward to our next stay.

Our New Favorite Vacation House!
We stayed at this property on July 19th - July 23rd and our group of 7 adults had a wonderful time. The picture don't do justice. for this unique home.. We had more than enough room, all the beds and pillows were very high quality and comfortable and the backyard/boat dock was outstanding.. There was a bit of a walk down to the dock but nothing that worked you out to hard. As wonderful as this property was, the location on the lake and to town was even better!....just a 5min drive got you to Walmart, Kroger's and many restaurants in the area. We had such a good time exploring Hot Springs, and spending time on Lake Hamilton. We are definitely planning on vacationing at this place again.

Great House, Stay, and Location!
We had an amazing time staying on this property! We did a girls trip and loved the house and location. The house was super cute and different… Plenty of room and everyone had a bed. The couch in the living room was beyond comfortable as well as the beds. We spent a lot of time out on the large dock and were told we were in a great location of Hot Springs. Dillon, our property contact was super responsive to any questions or needs we had and we had the best time. The only reason for four stars instead of five were due to some plumbing issues with one of the toilets in the house but Dillon was very responsive and sent out a maintenance guy to take a look at the issue. If this gets corrected, this place is definitely a five star house! We had a great time and would definitely come back!

It was such a beautiful spot and the cabin just blends in with the trees. The views from every window and every deck were breathtaking. We loved the kitchen and master bedroom suite. Great location not far from downtown or the races.

On the lake
The pictures do not do this place justice. A beautiful house right on the lake! The beds were so comfortable that we are thinking of buying the same. And you have everything you need for a family getaway. Just two suggestions: I think this was more of an issue with the ISP and not the owner’s fault, but the internet was spotty over the weekend. We could tether so it was okay and the jnternet was at 100% by Mon when I had to check in to the office but just be prepared if you have to work while you’re there. And if you think there is even the slightest chance you might want to take advantage of the owner’s offer to rent paddle boards and kayaks, definitely let him know before arriving. Once you see the lake, you will want to get out on the water and the marina down the street is a little pricey and doesn’t have convenient hours. Thank you for a great time.
