Our air conditioning went on and off unpredictably. I asked for a maintenance person to visit. When he did, the A/C was working and he left. Thank goodness for the fan. Room 1760.

Upside: Overall good hotel and restaurants. The Asian restaurant and Carnival buffet was very good. The 3rd floor lobby bar and hang out area was very nice. Down sides: room service, pool food and drinks were mediocre. At check in they try to rope you into a time share so BEWARE. Very pushy and not ok as we paid over $650 a night and didn’t want to get hustled upon arrival. Also the pool area felt like a cruise ship. Can’t sit on the beach front chairs as vendors harrass constantly. Looked like majority of people were over 50 or had small children. DJ was way too loud and most of the music genre not appropriate for the overall age of guests. They did change genres part of the day but hard relax with the music blaring. Room was nice and clean but the smell of the cleaning solution was overwhelming. Had to leave the slider open all night to keep the smell down and keep fresh air circulating.

The pools (and beach area) were well kept and were perfect temperature. The restaurants had delicious food choices and excellent staff/service. Ricardo is hands down, amazing! The room was beautiful and had a beautiful view! The kid activities are endless and attractive to all ages. I will definitely be returning

What we did not like was they close the ocean swim up bars at 6pm. Still light and sun sets for 2 1/2 hrs???? WHY Older property but very still nice. Our "OUR Butler Jose was the BEST ever!!! We stayed in all adult Secrets side! All wait staff excellent. But closing the pool bar so early was a buzz killer for everyone. With such beautiful sunsets, why close so early.

Main pool was closed, we were told by staff it wasnt an inconvenience for our trip because we had access to Secrets, well Secrets is adults only. So we were stuck with a kiddy kiddy pool, or an over crowded other pool. We had 2 options for restaurants, even the buffett was only open some evenings, limiting food options. Drinks were subpar, beach was rocky and unswimable. Also, beach is full of salesman. You say no thankyou to the same ones over and over again. Overall, we enjoyed leaving the resort because there was nothing to do while we were there.
