the bathroom sink and the shower didnt drain properly so I was always standing in a pool of water. The motion sensor lights which I was unable to shut off kept going off in the middle of the night waking us up every night we stayed there. As well as my rooms cleanliness was sub par - lots of dust and oily finger prints on the door.

The establishment was very modern and appealing. It was just unfortunate the customer service didn't translate as well. The complimentary car service was amazing and their customer service definitely stood out in comparison to the people in the hotel.

The staff was very nice, as was the bar area. I didn’t like the room, as it was dark and drab. We made the best of it, but it was low on my list of favorite hotels. The area in Houston is ok, not very pretty. The only parking was a couple blocks away ($25/day) or I would have to pay $60+ per day for mandatory valet parking.

Ultimately I was very pleased with my stay. And I have Darius the front office manager to thank for that! My stay started off a bit rocky, as the room I booked was not what I expected - it didn't match the specific room I chose online at all. Additionally, the room itself was quite dirty and felt soiled. Needless to say, I was very unhappy. I chose Baldwin because I had a very specific vision for celebrating my 46th birthday, and the shower outlooking the window/city view was what I looked forward to the most. When I complained to the manager that the room was nothing like that which was advertised, the manager on site - Darius - graciously moved me to a corner Jr. Executive Suite on the 20th floor! THIS was the highlight of my stay. The room was beautiful! Clean, super spacious and airy... welcoming! Perfect for a birthday staycation! Everything from that point on was great! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and am thankful that Darius made it a priority to ensure my satisfaction! Beautiful hotel! Beautiful people! I would make one side note: the staff at the front desk, while very friendly, often seemed quite preoccupied, and never did I experience them greeting me, before I did them. Sometimes, I didn't even get a response. I think tweaking this minor detail may be a huge elevation in the overall experience of an already great place to be. Just my two cents! The valet crew on the other hand were incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Particularly appreciated Ron!
