I prefer the small boutique hotels. They are more personal....in my opinion. One small problem....my room was adjacent to the elevator and the constant movement of the elevator thru the night was a little bothersome. The cables knocking against the walls was pretty loud. That was my only issue.

Bedsheets were soiled with what looked like poop. They changed the sheets but no offer to change rooms — gross! There was no mini-fridge as advertised and the TV did not work. The staff was courteous, but this property and management failed to provide a clean and hygienic experience. When I and hotels.com contacted the property to complain, nothing was offered to compensate for the experience.
