One of the guests on my floor lit his room on fire. The fire alarm went off at 7am. Woke everyone up, the fire dept came but the employees said there was nothing wrong and the fire dept left without even looking. Then they called the police to get the guest out. But they didn’t even go up and see since they said he was going to check out in an hour. unbelievable !!

I was visiting from out of town staying there the first day I got there got in the room slipped and fell hit my head on the sink and they just gave me towels for the floor the second day I wake up to take a shower soon as I step in my whole body folded in the tub and my head hit the toilet at this point I had medical attention come check me out when I asked for managers number or if she can call the manager I was told I’m busy and it’s not my fault that you fell and totally ignored me then the police was called and I was put out because I voiced my opinion on how I felt I was being treated and they never gave me my money back they didn’t care about anything just the money

The décor was from the 80s and in pretty bad shape. The carpets were filthy with big giant stains. The bed was very nice and comfortable. The bar was not open and the restaurant across the parking lo did serve any mixed drinks. The breakfast selections were extremely limited and there was no transportation available when I arrived at the airport.

We were there the night of the terrible storm on 5/16/24 - no power, no internet, no landline phones. The hotel attendant that night was outside in her car on the phone trying to get help. She couldn't check us in or help us so we went back to the airport and sat there all night. The hotel will not refund our money nor answer the phone. Joann specifically has denied us any compansation.

Horrible. I’d rather stay in the restaurant in the front rather than stay in that hotel. First off when we got to the airport they was suppose to have a shuttle within 15 mins and waited 30-45 minutes before we got a Uber. Then we get to the hotel and the elevator is busted. Then I went to get my gf something out the vending machine and had to get change from the hot biscuit across the lot to use their machine (and it only took singles and the snacks were well over priced. The last morning of our stay my gf just so happen to wake up and notice a giant Texas cockroach crawling on our ceiling. Then the toilet wouldn’t flush. You can see it’s not the first time they had one there cause she pointed out the splash spots on the wall. All around if I can give them a -10

What a nightmare
Upon making it to Huston JFK airport I was informed to contact the hotel for the shuttle pickup we sat outside the airport for 5 hours calling the hotel plus leaving messages and never got anyone one the phone after that we took a lyft the first lyft took us to the wrong hotel but they was nice enough to send us back to the airport then we caught another Lyft to the hotel only to get there and they had no power and they were closed. We ended up staying at the Ramada for the last 2 days of our trip then turned around and got stuck in the elevator what a nightmare the hotel was advertised as having a bar, a nightclub and a restaurant the only thing that was promising was the 24 hour restaurant that shares the parking lot with the hotel when I asked about the bar Which they did have I was informed by staff that although they do have a bar they do not have anyone with a liquor license so the bar was closed with no expected open date we never saw the nightclub overall the staff was nice but the stay was nothing that was expected plus they have roaches never again.

Pros: Quick, convenient property to the airport. The room was clean. Not expensive. Free and plentiful parking. Cons: I had a very, very hard time communicating with the front desk person on the phone (I had a good cell connection, just the person on the other line was mumbling horribly and sounded barely lucid, like they were on drugs possibly; it wasn't an accent issue), some people down the hallway kept slamming the door repeatedly during the night waking us up, and the landscaping around the property was mostly dead and the exterior of the hotel appeared to be damaged in places and in bad shape. Oh well, you get what you pay for. We only needed to be close to the airport for an early flight for one night.

There was not housekeeping, you had to bring you dirty towels to them and they counted them to make sure of how many you returned. We had to put trash outside the door if we wanted trash pick up. They said due to Covid, this happed in April 2024! We had a room for 4 nights with no one coming to our room!

Can't sleep with a chirping smoke alarm.
I checked out within an hour of checking in. The smoke alarm was chirping and they stated they didn't have any other rooms and could not fix it until the next day.
