Beautiful south facing chalet up to 10 people

News for winter 2020/2021: Ski/boots locker and at the foot of the slopes!
This winter we are offering 2 free ski lockers each containing up to 4 pairs of adult skis (or 2 pairs of adults / 3 pairs of children) and each equipped with 5 boot dryers, gloves and/or helmets. They are located place Paganon at the start of the "alpe d'huez express" in the Vieil Alpe. (5/10mn walk from the chalet)

300 DAYS OF BRIGHT SUNSHINE!
The Alpe d’Huez is situated on a fully south-facing plateau at 1860 m above sea level, and its skiable area enjoys maximum exposure to the sun. So enjoy a day’s skiing in the sun: up to 7 1/2 hours a day of sun in December, up to 11 hours a day in April. The French Weather Bureau has recorded an average of 300 days’ sunshine a year at the resort! Also, on a fine day, you can see 1/5e of France from Pic Blanc.

WHERE ARE WE LOCATED IN L'ALPE D'HUEZ?
Nestled in the fir trees, the chalet Lalpedu is located at 1800 meters on the southern slope of the Alpe d'Huez. It is part of the Delta chalets of the private street "rue des Sagnes". Built in the 1950s by architects Robert Demartini and Pierre Sicard, the chalet delta enjoy the climate of a very sunny site and a breathtaking view of the mountains. Designed on several levels with their steeply pitched roof and gabled façade, the atypical architecture of the delta chalets gives the place a unique charm. They are located in the old Alpe district which is the historical center of l'Alpe d'Huez. You can reach the center of the old Alpe either through a pedestrian path (5 / 10mn) or by car (3mn). On-site, you will find all the necessary shops; restaurants, bakeries, butcher, cheese makers, supermarkets, tourist office, ski pass office, ski shop, etc. The start to the ski is at the end of the street, from there two solutions; we ride the slope which goes to Huez village or we take the free shuttle which drives us to the slope roundabout where is notably the ski school meeting point. On the way back we can either take the pedestrian path or the slope which goes to Huez village.

THE CHALET LALPEDU
The chalet Lalpedu has 130m2 of living space and can accommodate 8 to 10 people and 3 young children.
- The ground floor has a beautiful living room (2 large sofas and a TV) overlooking a large south-facing balcony. On this floor there are also two bedrooms; a large one with a double bed and a child's bed and a smaller one with a double bed. Independent toilets and a bathroom with shower complete the floor.
- The first floor has a large living room (dining room, kitchen and breakfast area) which also opens onto a large south-facing balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped with induction hob, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, oven, raclette machine, toaster, etc.
- The 2nd floor has 2 bedrooms; one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds. Above is the attic bedroom with 2 double beds (ideal for children)

No worries we provide a free internet connexion! We also have 2 TV in each of the living room.

BABY FRIENDLY CHALET!
As proud parents of young twins, we have equipped the chalet in consequence; one bedroom has a cot (baby bed with bars) and we also have 2 folding baby cots. For the youngest kids, we have a nice rocking bed in wood, 2 highchairs, a small tub and a foldaway changing table. There are 2 nurseries in l' Alpe d' Huez but it's best to book in advance especially during the peak season. We can also introduce you trusted nannies if you want to hang out without your kids.

SOME SPECIFICATIONS ON RATES AND SERVICES
Upon arrival, the beds are made, we also provide bath towels, bath mats, tea towels and towels. This service is charged € 200 per rental.
Final cleaning will be done by a cleaning company for 150 €.
As a renter we have the duty to collect tourist tax from holidaymakers, it amounts to € 1.70 per night and per adult over 18 years.

Très bon séjour à l’alpe d’huez
Chalet avec superbe vue sur les montagnes. Plus adapté pour 8 adultes (car la chambre du haut est très étroite...). Petit bémol, on doit marcher un peu pour accéder à une piste bleue, et ensuite prendre plusieurs remontées pour arriver en haut de la station! Mais globalement très bon séjour
