"I really like this hotel. If you like old style architecture like me this is great. We stayed in the arran room where the view was amazing looking down on the ferry terminal. The room was spacious and comfortable."

"The property was clean, comfortable, well equipped and ideal for our stay. Sadly our visit from Canada was due to my dad being end of life. We were so grateful to able to make a cup of tea when we arrived. Hopefully we will return for another stay in happier times."

"Difficult to access"

"Our stay at Douglas Park was simply wonderful. From trying to spot dolphins out the windows at breakfast to warm welcomes from Tilly and Ken after a rainy day out. Ken is an absolutely wonderful host whose hospitality is exemplary! Thank you for a lovely stay!"

"Good communication from host. Outside space disappointing with whole area in the shade throughout the day and evening due to tree shade. Fabulous unique art in the property."

"This was our 2nd time staying here this year. That should tell you that it's worth going back to. Excellent location, within walking distance to the Ferry Terminal. The cottage is great, the wife loves the kitchen and the Conservatory (all season sun room) is fantastic as well. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the updated bathroom and shower was very much appreciated. Communication with the owner was great, they were very responsive and pro-active to any questions we had. The only tiny wee downside is that the TV is very small. I'd expect a much bigger TV these days, but this is a very small niggle and I'd still give the cottage 5 stars easily. We will be back again, this is our go-to place when visiting this area each year."
