The Pheasantry at Mayen Estate

The Pheasantry is the ideal family getaway home sleeping up to 4 people with a spacious private garden, hot tub, pizza oven, and barbeque. The master bedroom has an extra-comfy king-size bed, decked with luxury white linens and a snug window seat with an exclusive view of the walled garden. The twin bedroom offers stunning meadow views with beautiful natural light coming through the windows – next door you will find the cosy pink bathroom with a shower, roll-top bath and white fluffy towels.

The cottage boasts an inviting open plan living space with a woodburning stove, WIFI, TV and spacious lounge, while the gorgeous olive kitchen is fully equipped with an electric AGA, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and all of the tools needed to cook up the perfect meal.

In the garden, on one side of the patio, you will find an Ooni pizza oven, a top-of-the-range Kamado BBQ and comfortable garden furniture. At the other end of the patio, you will find the woodfired hot tub, perfect for bathing children whilst also providing a relaxing soak for parents.

Mayen Estate, where the Pheasantry is situated offers a large range of walks around its 700 acres, you can also explore its historic rock gardens, woodlands, many ponds and arboretum. Also on the estate is a beautiful permaculture walled garden, which you can visit during opening hours.

The Pheasantry just so happens to be perfectly situated at the heart of the Scottish castle trail and so there a certainly no shortage of ancient castles to visit as well as historic fishing villages, country houses and many gardens to explore.

Guide Charters, based in Macduff offer exciting wildlife tours along the Moray Firth where you can see dolphins and seals thriving in their natural habitat.

If you are the adventurous sort, Glenlivet bike trails are a worthwhile visit with the routes ranging from blue to black. These are free to use, just pay for parking – if you cannot bring your own bike there are bikes available for hire at the centre.
