I liked the area of this hotel, convenient to Mid City and the breakfast was pretty good. The staff was helpful, nice and polite. But it does need new ( or at least needs to be cleaned) carpet in the rooms.

Choose a different hotel
I experienced several annoyances like the sink water not going down normally, a constant buzzing of the mini-fridge, a repetitive sound of the toilet, and the fridge leaving my lunch leftovers frozen solid. But my biggest issues were the giant roach in my bathroom, and someone knocking on and then entering my room while I was napping mid day (even though the cleaning service had already come that morning). I have no idea why a staff member knocked, did not wait for me to respond, and then proceeded to enter my room. Also the hotel is right off a busy road so it's fairly loud. The positives: the bed was very comfortable and it is a 20 min walk from the Orion Amphitheater. But if you are going to the Orion, there are several closer hotels so I strongly encourage you to choose one of the others.

The hotel is very outdated - the bathtub was stained on the bottom - dirty carpet - no usb outlets - smelled of smoke and was reserved as a smoke free room! Definitely not the rating given by Expedia!

The evening/overnight staff were very rude and even treated us like we were vagrants walking in off the street. The noise and pot smells were unbearable, and the housekeeping staff kept knocking our door (multiple times) to prod us to check out before check out time. We had stayed here before and that was the reason we booked again, but probably never again after this experience. Customer services can smooth over a lot but the staff this time didn’t show that they cared about service.

This hotel is in need of major updating. However, it was clean & comfortable. The front desk employee welcomed us & was very friendly & helpful. The complimentary breakfast was very good.
