Perfect family getaway.
We had a lovely few days on Skeleton Lake!
The newly renovated cottage was spotless and spacious, with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a huge games area in the basement, complete with a pool table. The bedding and towels were high quality and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and there was very good wifi access.
The property is lovely, with a gently sloping lawn down to the water. The lake is very shallow for quite a ways out, which would be especially good for people with young children. The lake has a soft, sandy bottom and clear, clean water. Besides the ladder off the dock, there is also a public access beach right next to the property with easy access to the water. We enjoyed use of the canoe, kayaks, and firepit.
Communication with the host was excellent throughout. We would not hesitate to highly recommend this property.
Note:
There is a summer camp on the same road as the property and, at times, we could hear the happy sound of children enjoying their activities. It was not loud and did bother us at all, but it is good to for guests to be aware that it is there.
