Traditionally beamed, the pub takes its name, Botolph’s Bridge, from the local legends surrounding St Botolph, a 7th-century monk. There is an excellent selection of beaches to explore, all within 3 miles, and many beautiful walks including the Royal Military Canal which has recently seen improvements for walkers and cyclists. There are many local villages, gardens, museums, monuments and castles well worth a visit.
