Top level service and comfort. The only let own being the roof top facility which was being dismantled during our stay, it’s only seasonal but we had lovely weather so an undisturbed relaxation and bar service would have been good.

The manager and front desk customer service was horrible. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever encountered. We paid for a few nights stay, and arrived the second day after contacting the hotel beforehand regarding our flight delay which was confirmed by the front desk staff that since our room was already paid for it would be held no problem for our check in. Upon arrival they had already sold our paid room to other guests then put us in another room that had plumbing issues with yellow contaminated water coming from the bathtub and shower. The maintenance team and front desk staff confirmed the water was contaminated in our room as well as others so they were unable to change our room. We were unable to shower the entire stay! I have pictures and videos of the yellow/brownish water. Instead of being accommodating the manager was extremely rude to us and non helpful. She basically told us that there was nothing to be done about the situation. I have stayed with SLS many times and have never received such horrible customer service. It was our anniversary so we were very disappointed with customer service. We are handling this now with corporate.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, the website doesn't do it justice. The roof top bar area is lovely , pool is big enough to do a few laps and there are about 8 very nice sun loungers. We had a suite which was fabulous, lots of space two Juliette balconies and a gorgeous tub in the roof, mini bar was fully stocked and lots to choose from. The breakfast was very nice lots of choice, we ate outside downstairs one afternoon which was also nice, the food here is very good. All the staff are so helpful and lovely. We had a very pleasant stay and will definitely stay again.

Pricey but worth it
Overall this hotel was superb. We had an issue initially with the AC; it wasn't cooling well, and the hotel claimed to not have any other rooms to accommodate us which was disappointing as there did not seem to be a great number of guests in the hotel itself. However they fixed it the next day and our stay from then on was comfortable. Service was always excellent: front desk, concierge, restaurant - all top notch, helpful and available. And you can't beat the location of this hotel; it's right in the heart of Dalt Villa, one of the prettiest towns I've ever visited. Right in the heart of restaurants and cafes, shopping, and near the water. The food at the restaurant was delicious and consistent, if not a bit on the pricey side (€16 for a fruit plate?!) but if you purchase the "breakfast included" option when reserving then it brings that down a bit. Overall a great stay though.

We had a wonderful stay at the Standard - it's in a fantastic location, we ate delicious food, had a very nice room, and the rooftop bar and pool is beautiful. but far and away the best part of our stay was interacting with the people - we felt like we were staying with friends who really wanted to show us a good time on the island. thanks to sonia and marc and all the other staff that made our stay feel very special. can't wait to come back.
